In this video we try out Arken Optics newest scope, the SH4 Gen II 6-24X50. As of now, It has to be the best long range precision rifle scope for under $500. You get a 34mm tube, FFP VPR reticle, illumination, zero reset, zero stop, great turrets and overall feel, lifetime warranty, etc. In fact, with a bubble level, throw lever, and 20 MOA 34mm cantilever mount, it all comes together for under $500 still. You’d expect for it to be garbage at this price but I’ve got 3 now and they’ve been great thus far. I’ll definitely keep y’all posted on how they perform. Thanks for watching!

Can you do a video about the rifle?

  3. jeejay98 on November 22, 2021 at 7:47 pm

The bullet arc is so cool. Try playing the video at 0.25X speed. Amazing.

Great video though. Can’t wait to receive mine. It just shipped yesterday.

Great shooting! How can I make a sandbag type like you have under your stock! Press to raise, let off the g and the rifle goes down! Could I make one or should I purchase one? I just don’t have a lot of money! I’m running a .308! Thanks for your help! 👍✌🐎

No mention of the glass quality

    It’s 450 plus shipping

  7. Ethan Clark on November 22, 2021 at 7:51 pm

You missed like 2x at essentially 700 yards, and second shot you smacked the plate dead center. The scope isn’t a weak link, and you proved it hand over fist

  8. Backwoods Charlie on November 22, 2021 at 7:54 pm

My friend just got one this week a 4-16 x50 sh4, put it on a 300 win mag, 600yd shots, easy

    holy shit that’s cool

  16. Kelton Adams on November 22, 2021 at 8:02 pm

What is the chassis that first rifle has. It reminds me so much of the accuracy international L96. I’ve been looking for a chassis like that for a long time but can’t find one

  17. Darnell Hill on November 22, 2021 at 8:02 pm

@ 11:17 you can actually see the bullet trace great shooting and quality cams

  18. Whatever on November 22, 2021 at 8:06 pm

It is the best optic for under $1500.. vortex and Leopold Cannot compare.. It shoots like a $1500 optic. I have a 6.5 creed more I have taken it out to 800 yd. Currently I am selling my Leopold and my vortex to buy 4 more arkens. one Vortex.. One Leopold to sell and buy 4 arkens.. Yes I am. And I am selling them used and still get 4 arkens. It will take at least 10 weeks to get them. But it is worth the wait

  19. Min Privatus on November 22, 2021 at 8:07 pm

Man I got really mixed feelings on these arken scopes. They seem too amazing to be real. Specs are nuts and all the reviewers are saying great things. Thing that gets me is that it’s all Chinese stuff. Not sure if it’s mainland China or not but how can any other optic company compete without going to China at this point? I don’t care about toys and crap but when it comes to medicine, guns and any else critical to our national security I don’t think we should be exporting the manufacturing to our #1 enemy. Just can’t condone buying one and I won’t be.

  20. Tony Romano on November 22, 2021 at 8:10 pm

MOA or MM for casual shooter?

  21. subllimecantona on November 22, 2021 at 8:10 pm

Would you go for EP4 or SH4-Gen2 ?

  22. Haval Hasan on November 22, 2021 at 8:11 pm

What kind of rifle is that? The green one

  23. Ronald Victor on November 22, 2021 at 8:12 pm

To bad the same scope sells for R15k in South Africa. That’s about $1098. not worth it in South Africa… the Ep4 goes for R21999 thats a crazy $1611 🙁

  24. Bob Jeffrey on November 22, 2021 at 8:12 pm

    Beautiful weapon.

  27. p47rr on November 22, 2021 at 8:13 pm

I bought one on Friday. Should be here Monday. That being said. I’m surprised you didn’t mention the glass is average at higher magnification. And the eye box as well. It’s a great scope for the money. And it looks like it should cost over a thousand dollars. But I wish they had put Japanese Glass in the gen 2.

  28. Gregory Shelton on November 22, 2021 at 8:16 pm

I feel like most people that buy this scope would do just fine with a 3x9x40. First video I’ve found with it being used.

  29. Tony Romano on November 22, 2021 at 8:19 pm

    11:26 nice!

  30. Brian M Fieldwick on November 22, 2021 at 8:19 pm

How about daybreak and sunset. True value of the glass quality

  31. ronws2007 on November 22, 2021 at 8:22 pm

.300 Win Mag, when you feel the need to reach out and slap the snot out of some steel. And if I were to get the complete MRAD, I would get the set up for .308 Win, .300 Win Mag. and .338 Lapua Mag. But they also made it in .300 Norma Mag and .338 Norma Mag, if I am not mistaken.

You had me till 36 ounces.

  34. Richard Lane on November 22, 2021 at 8:25 pm

Prices went up 13% ($65) for the package listed above: $449.99 (Scope) + $59.99 (Rigid Precision Mount) + $29.99Arken (Throw Lever) + $24.99 (Bubble Level) = $564.96 … I would also recommend the "Flip Its" scope covers for $34.99 … GRAND TOTAL = $599.95 … GREAT DEAL!

    Loved watching that heat trail

  36. ronws2007 on November 22, 2021 at 8:26 pm

09:47 an old classmate of mine lives in NE Texas on about 20 acres and he does not hunt on his property any more. The neighbors started raising bison, I think for market. Anyway, the way the property is laid out, you might get a ricochet and injure one. But they are neat to see relatively close (200 yards.)

  37. spencer cupit on November 22, 2021 at 8:28 pm

Got one in mil, for 500 bucks..absolutely awesome, be great at 800.00.

    Great review. Thank you.

  40. Luis Ortega on November 22, 2021 at 8:30 pm

    What bipo is that? Thanks

  41. Aaron Sneeringer on November 22, 2021 at 8:31 pm

A quick scan didn’t show this question. It seems to handle the 300 Win Mag fine, but is it capable of handling SCAR 17 abuse?

  42. Urban Marksmen Connection on November 22, 2021 at 8:31 pm

What’s the eyebox like on it… I’ve seen where some say it’s not very forgiving

  43. Anthony Ellsmore on November 22, 2021 at 8:31 pm

Thanks for the info on the rings too. Great review

  44. Peter Mears on November 22, 2021 at 8:32 pm

How would you compare this to the vortex strike eagle 5-25×56?

  46. plrodrig123 on November 22, 2021 at 8:33 pm

can you compare Arken SH4 Gen 2 6-24×50 vs Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25×56? I’m sure many folks would like to see that as well

  47. Zack K on November 22, 2021 at 8:37 pm

Would this be a good scope (size wise) for a 224 Valerie ar15?
