Affordable surplus Beretta 85F .380
I found another gem I couldn’t live without at Classic Firearms, a Beretta Model 85F in .380. I’ve often wanted a Model 84 or 85. Classic Firearms got in a shipment of police trade-in Beretta 85F’s and I couldn’t resist. These are close to 1/2 the price of a new Cheetah pistol.

I like the inox version with a wood grip. Looks very nice.
Love my model 84 B 13+1 double stack. It is in my concealed carry rotation constantly. Keep Federal HST’S in it. Haven’t ever had a feeding problem. It’s my Baby Beretta 92. Very nice carry piece, Blued, original wood grips, svelte & beautiful. The original magazine that came with it read, " : Law Enforcement Only". Have no idea on European laws & don’t care, just found that interesting. If Beretta could make this gun in it’s exact size & configuration in 9mm, I think it would be thee best carry pistol around, perfect size.
Can you see the double stack 84 magazines with the 85?
A store who provided me a safety gun on wickr is called immaglockdealer they sell different types of guns
Did Classic label this as a Good/Very Good Condition Pistol? I just ordered one from them as well. I didn’t pay the extra 10 dollars for the hand picked ones.
I don’t know but think classic firearms they save the good stuff for you!!! Or best shape
A friend of mine got his and not even close to yours condition!!
A lot of holster wear and pitted!!
Can someone please tell me the difference between a 85BB and 85F? Just ordered the BB model and really can’t see the difference. Thanks.
Nothing as enjoyable as shooting a nice recoiling, but mild recoiling, pistol. Satisfaction.
If berreta today made this gun in 9mm I would by 2
MAC: look up reviews for Classic—–terrible reviews: 2 out of 5 is the average. But they send you a NEW GUN to draw unsuspecting customers to their terrible service and crappy product.. Really hurts your credibility when you front a dishonest company.
People have gotten cracked slides/they refuse to refund/more than one month to send product/do not make it right…..but they have YOU touting how great they are. You must vet suppliers better.
Try to find the 86fs the elusive tip up barrel 380
Great gun. Terrible sights. Don’t belittle .380 until you have tasted one.
A store who provided me a safety gun on wickr is called immaglockdealer they got different types of guns
You do good , I get a lot of info about my Beretta 85 f , 380. Double stack.
Why does Beretta use a locking block on the 92 and not the 85? Why not just continue to avoid the locking block altogether on newer guns? Why are they needed on the 92 and not the 85?
Do you think it is worth buying one of these over a glock 42? Just for shooting and HD for the wife.
me go vroom vroom
Went thru Coast Guard boot camp as the the 92 phased in. Preferred the 45. Although in the looks department, well it IS Italian.
There’s a reason Riggs carried it
I bought my first one back in 89. The 92 is still one of my favorites.
Did you take the mag safety off that gun? My 85F will not work without the mag. I did remove it and it did work like the one you have there but I put it back on the gun. Is it safe to remove that safety and would I have problems with the ATF by changing the gun in this manner. I have the 92F and the M9A1 that I some times carry with a live round in the chamber and the safety off. I also carry that 85F with a round in the chamber and the safety off, The safety is between my ears. Thanks
The 92 is too big
Sir tell me one thing what is a difference between Berreta 84 BB and Beretta 84 cheath and which one is best from one of those
Sr, definitely, the 380 ACP caliber, is not to be using as a defense pistol?, then, what is the use for that gun. Sr receive all my respectsSr receive all my respects my respect. Oh Im takeing a tequila shoots sorry.
My question to the MAC community, I have the 92FS ,What is the difference between the 92FS and the M9? Pls advise
I pickup a used 84fs today from gander mountain for 487.00 with holster and 4 mags. Looks good next to my 92fs. Off topic they had a browning 380 1911 that was really cool. Looked like a mini 45.
“Still small enough to fit in a pocket.. IF you don’t wear skinny jeans”
I feel attacked 🤣🤣🤣
Tinnayyy *aaaaggghhhh*
I love my 81 but I kinda wish I bought the 85 instead. 32 acp can, and has, given me a rimlock malfunction. 380 will not do that. I can still get an 85 but with no ammo available it would be a waste of money.
I just bought a Berreta 85bb. To anyone who hasn’t thought about the 380/9mm short or if you are a Berreta fan. Consider the Berreta 80 series pistols you will not be disappointed. Fyi I got mine from DKFIREARMS in Bowling Green Va. Good prices and Great staff
The ear head gear it good.
I own a 84b that has never been shot and never came out of case
When you purchased this gun did you buy the lifetime warranty for the gun on that site?
Polish that feed ramp and it should be golden!
hello very good video is an excellent gun greetings from Colombia ✌
Was your finger near the slide. That’s the way it looked.
I hate that I missed out on these.
HEY, MAN. NICE CAMERA WORK, I COULD SIGHT THE GUN WITH YOU WHILE YOU SHOT….
GOOD STUFF…
Bersa Thunder Plus may not have a lot of likes but I trust the little thing..15 rd mag and shoots flawlessly ..the $$ being asked for these Berettas is too much ( as 2020) …a Glock 19 is cheaper
Found an 85fs in Bruniton finish with Beretta wood grips at my local shop on Friday, the owner who is a personal friend told me in the 13 years hes been selling guns he’s never seen one come through the store, and seeing as there are tons of hipsters in my area that tells me this gun is quite rare, especially in the "pristine" condition this one is in. I paid $700 flat for it, not sure if I got a good deal or not but I know should I ever need to sell it I can turn it for a profit given the gun market in my area. So far I cant say Im disappointed at all with the purchase, it feels awesome in the hand, points very well, weight is positive towards keeping the gun steady when presented and the sight picture is excellent. The controls are something I had to get used to but within 20 minutes of loaded mag manipulation and changing, cocking/decocking, and dry firing (with and without a loaded mag) I became quite familiar with the Cheetah and what to expect when I go fire it for the first time. Interesting to note- the left slide says "PIETRO BERETTA GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY .. PATENTED BERETTA USA CORP. ACKK, MD" and the right slide says "WARNING: RETRACT SLIDE TO SEE IF LOADED, DOES NOT FIRES WITHOUT MAGAZINE.. 85 FS CHEETAH – CAL. 9 SHORT", strange to see a typo like that printed directly into the gun, not sure if this variety has any addition value because of it but it does add some character to it. Despite the intention to go over the weekend Ive still yet to fire it but Im thinking today is looking good to go out n put a few in paper. So far Im at a 8.5/10 with the final grading criteria being the range test tbd; I’ll update this comment when I return from the sandbox with my results and final opinion.
You can get magazines for the model 85 at DHFirearms. Is a good price. Thanks for the video, i learn good information.
Please help!!! How in the world do I replace the trigger spring? Trying to do it for a friend and I cant find anything on how to replace the spring on the 85
Much prefer the model 84 myself. For a gun that size I want the capacity
Great gun.
I have the double stack. 13 +1.
Hey guys I got my glock 19x from *immaglockdealer on Wickr* with low shipping prices deal with them they are the best store
Just ordered one at Buds Guns! Hope it comes as nice as that one.👌
Did he say this beretta 84 in .380 shot snappier than the 9mm beretta ?? Wow!! I might could believe it though ! I used to have one of these 84 s until it got stolen , but it did shoot a little snappy that’s true just never realized it was as much or more than the 9s.
I picked up two extra mags from Optics Planet and now this is my EDC in a shoulder holster. A flannel shirt and it’s hidden.
"If you don’t wear skinny jeans" lol
Has anyone had trouble with the trigger return spring not resetting the trigger on their 85bb?
