Do the 500 mag 700 grain underneath the 470 then give me the block to sell on ebay
Demo ranch will always be better and also Kentucky ballistics this channel sucks
I believe itβs pronounced Sahh-ko. I owned one in .243 and thatβs what I was told.
Frontier Tactical?…..That 45-70 is UGLY!!! Iam usually a function over form guy…..But that is too much ugly in one gun.
GO FINLAND! Sako is Finnish rifle company! Thats why it packs a punch!!
Precision One are manufactured close to where I live in Charleston, SC. All of their rounds are loaded super hot. In fact, I had to quit shooting them through my Glock 27 because I thought they were gonna damage the action. Consistent and accurate though, just way hot.
In a fit of insanity- I bought a .378 Weatherby.
Havenβt had an elephant in my yard since.
375 H&H Magnumβ¦β¦ Elephant gun, LMAOβ¦.. in Africa the 375 H&H Magnum is a medium to medium heavy rifle, not really aβ elephant gunβ, a 458 Lott or a 505 Gibbs is probably more of a β elephant gunβ
They call it a butt stock because, when you shoot it, you’re supposed to put it in your butt. Just nuzzle it up between your butt cheeks and pull the trigger. Boom! Maybe if you tried using it right!
The .375 H&H isn’t an Elephant Gun just because it can be used on Elephants. It is simply a very versatile cartridge that many people use for hunting elk, moose, big bear, etc……
having never shot a 4570 or the elephant gun, i have to speak from a position of ignorance lol. from your results here it seems to me that the 4570, even being the far weaker of the 2, would be way overkill for self defense. that is if we are talking human attackers. if you are talking about the biggest, meanest, nastiest grizzly bears then there’s a case. my bet is that you could line up 4-5 200 pound plus guys and take out all of them with a single shot. the elephant gun, forgetabout it, youd have ti line up 10 or more to stop the bulet.
Love the video
That Sako is a beautiful gun. Please donβt ruin it with a scopeβ¦
I have a .375 H&H mag in a Sako rifle too! I friggen love it! The day I shot a lawnmower engine at 50 yds and it blew right through it, I shot everything after that lol. I handload too and shoot 1/2β groups at 100yds. Full power loads, compressed powder charge.
Oooooouuuuucccchhhhh!
You need a Big Horn Armory Model 89 in .500 Magnum.
Great video! And that’s the only thing that sissy white claw is good for
Use the right bullets and the .375 will deliver massive energy to that gel!!! Why would you even use brass bullets that don’t expand?!?! Not a very good video in my opinion!!! You act like brass bullets are the only ammo available for the .375!!!! You are delivering massive misinformation to people that may not know the difference!!!
Find some Garret ammo 540gr +P hammer head in 45-70β¦ that has some recoil
Here’s an π‘π‘π‘ get a pressure sensor an compare recoil in side by side matches different ammo weights your get the Idea π‘π
should shoot the T-Rexο»Ώ .557
MM77 Approved ππΌππΌ
Iβm pritty sure u can get 450 grain bullet for that 45-70 but I also think I read if you want full performance out of it you need to hand load because most factory load are dulled down a bit just in cast some one put on into an antique
Elephant gun? Really? Do you plan on hunting for ivory?
If you really wanted to compare apples to apples with these big game cartridges you would probably want to run a swift A-frame or a nozzle or partition in both of those rifles because they’re both going to expand at the same rate but from what I have talked to my pH about on getting ready for my Africa trip I personally use a 458 Winchester Magnum which when consulting my professional Hunter he told me it was a good choice and that shoots the same diameter bullet as the 45-70 and solids are designed to break bone and are used on brain shots on elephant and hippo
What brand and model is the 45-70?
The solid 375 H&H 300 grain is a bullet with a solid brass construction. It will dent and hold it’s form better than a lead jacketed bullet. The brass bullet would hit and deform and transfer the energy better than a lead bullet. And I am far more intelligent than you know.
Try shooting 500 gr. at 2100 fps 45/70
You will revisit this when different ammunition comes available and Iβll be looking forward to seeing them πππ
You need to get yourself some +P 45-70. That would be a much closer comparison.
you need to try 450 marlin
The reason the EG dident move the hell Block is because of the ammo ur using a copper plated hard cast bullet if u had u a soft lead or a hollow point that he’ll Block would have flipped that thing like a gymnastic. Look at the You tube channel Lever guns he test all the lever guns from 45-70 to 51-110 and he uses the max hot loads and he will have 3 hell Block flipping 3-4 feet off the table
Use a 375 H&H soft point
Seems like you and Scott should get together. You are left-handed and have a right-hand Monte Carlo stocked elephant rifle. Scott is right handed and has a left-hand Monte Carlo stocked elephant rifle. Just sayin’.
The trex riffle is just so amazing and if in Alaska good for keeping sasquatch away which is almost as bad as a T- rex
why the trying to be tactical shell eject? looks fucking retarded. even tried it on the bolt gun but failed.
African hunting rifle start with solids so order some 500-grain approved rounds. Then test it on something with thick hide, thick medium for muscle than the thickest cow bone you can fine. 405 hitting a plate and vest causes a huge wave of energy to the organs. It you by something because it pretty ?
The only reasonable use of white claw
I think the 375 HH is quite pleasant to shoot to be honest with you no more than a 30-06
Sir, a Mr. Herrera called, something about questioning his masculinity?
I like both rifles But my choice is 45-70 !
You should revisit your ower pen vΓdeo with house walls with these guns.
Here in Alaska I don’t feel in the least under gunned with my 45/70 even facing the largest brown bear or the biggest moose it’ll git er done
You young folks crack me up it’s got about the same muzzle energy as the 45-70 the 375 HH just cuz it’s bigger don’t mean it’s more powerful
Need a 700 nitro express
See which one splits a log faster but use extreme penetrators in the 45/70. I have one of my own that I use to hunt deer in heavy cover
Your so cheep. Lol
The .375 H&H shoots the same weight bullet a good 400 fps faster. Velocity aids in expansion, so given bullets of similar construction, the .375 can be expected to go more damage to the gel or to soft tissue. The 300 gr .375 has a much higher sectional density than the 300 gr .458 cal so given solids, the .375 can also be expected to penetrate farther on thick dangerous game. The bottom line is that the .45-70 is just not in the same class as the .375. One was designed from the ground up as a dangerous game rifle, the other was an old black powder service round that get a performance boost from modern powders and bullets, but still isn’t in the same class as a legit dangerous game rifle. The .45-70 will take some big animals, to be sure, I am not discrediting what is certainly one of the most proven hunting rounds in North America, but if I was hunting T-Rex or elephant, I would take the .375 hands down. In fact, I am in the process of setting up a woods defense rifle for grizzly and have decided on a Ruger CRF bolt action in .375 Ruger over a lever gun in .45-70.
