That trigger is a deal killer for me.
I don’t have the "body mechanics" crease of the finger problem you identified in the video. It goes just fine regardless of how much trigger finger purchase I get.
Love the p t. 22.
Excellent review on this gun thank you..
I have the same exact gun. What are your thoughts on using CCI Stinger ammo?
I liked the video…..but the 20 times u pulled the trigger drove me insane!! I hope u had a snap-cap, or spent case in there? It’s not ment to dry fire! These are great little pistols…they are way cheaper than their Beretta cousins, and just as fun to shoot. Thanks 👍😎
Looks very Beretta Bobcat-ish…if they were going to copy, they should’ve copied the Beretta m70/71 – the mossad gun!
I sold mine cas I didn’t like that they used a plastic bushing on the slide.
For long time I have been looking to the Taurus PT 22 and willing to purchase it.
On the 29th December 2022 this was sold for 201US$.
When I went on the 15th Jan 2023 to buy it, all of a sudden the price had jumped to 243US$, representing a hefty 21% increase for the same firearm – no extra features added. Same item.
I reached out to Taurus to show them my disappointment ( how many of you have received a 21% increase?) and here below a copy and paste of their answer,
My name is Hazel with Taurus customer service. I have received your email this morning. I do apologize that you are unhappy. Taurus only
Taurus USA
I consider this answer a BLESSING; because it gives me a true reality check of what the customer service is in this company and what YOU WILL expect, when something goes wrong with your Firearm (and Taurus is notorious for quality issues)
Therefore God blessing my letter to them, as it gave me the possibility to have an immediate reality check of what to expect from their customer service in the future: carelessness.
Thanks for the viD
Very nice gun. I wonder how this compares to the Beretta Bobcat .22 ?
I bought one just for weekend shooting. I really don’t see another use for it besides that.
Num entendi nada o que ele falou…..
I had one of those and broke 2 firing pins. After the 2nd one was replaced, I traded it for a Taurus 85 (38 revolver with a 2" barrel) That 38 was amazing.
🌹🌹🌹
Got mine used – $200. Love the feel of the rosewood handle. Surprisingly accurate for it’s short barrel length. I personally like the double action, it forces me to pay attention to using a clean trigger pull – I’m shooting it, it’s not shooting for me. As for "9mm only" cc gripers, its a 22.
Your supposed to shoot it like a revolver—so using the distal joint—not the pad of a finger like a SA/striker fired auto……I have the Poly model—its a spare gun —like it that it has a key lock and mag disconnect as i just throw it in my travel bag and keep gun locked with hidden key and mag—i dont use the safety as its redundant with da pull–I have the 10 round mags—gives it more grip for finger plus 2 rounds—I only use CCI Mini Mags and works fine—It weighs 13.5 ounces loaded with 11 minimags
Slide falls off while shooting, sent to get repaired and it still falls off . It is cute, cannot trust this little rat.
Man, you do some of the best reviews I have seen. Always detailed, great video quality. Always interesting. Very through. Bought a Midland shotgun and loved your review of that gun. How about the follow up? keep up the good work and thanks.
Took the grip off mine it was pink🤣
I been looking into these more and more, why do some look like the one in the vid and others look really weird like they have a shorter slide or barrel, I cant find any prefixes or anything to distinguish them
I owned the 25 acp Beretta version of this mfg in 1965. It was heavy for the size and that beefy grip is an issue for pocket carry. I cannot see much reason to go this route aside from the low 22lr ammo cost. I trust a Kel-Tec P32 more due to the higher caliber, lower weight, and quality mags.
Impossible for lefties…………for a number of reasons.
I just bought one for $100. My magazine does spring out. Yours might be defective or something
👍👍❤️❤️❤️
I want one of these guns but cannot find one any where—can anyone help
This gun doesn’t like lead rounds, it prefers copper head rounds. It is especially effective with CCI Mini Mags.
Don’t waste a nice pistol by shooting bad ammo!
Mine never worked. Sent it back literally six times and they never fixed it. I swear they would just repack it and send it back.
Can it shoot a magnum round ?
That disconnects this so you can use the barrel by itself as a single shot
Thanks for the great review! I just bought my PT22 and love it so far. Have not been to the range yet, but like the fact I can get 3 fingers solidly on the grip and like that it has a safety.
i have that one lol
Do you have to load it from the top or can you rack the slide to chamber a round?
My father in law gave me one of these. Cool little gun
at the range my pt22 went full auto as the firing pin was broken . taurus repaired it free of charge . i also had a slam fire,in the manual it tells you not to pull the slide back to chamber a round. this all took place 20 years ago, its been fine ever since.
Is blazer ammo you’re go to rounds? I was having dud rounds from them
GREAT VIDEO 🌟,❤️🖤💚🤎 FAMILY DAPHNE COTTON ALWAYS 💜 AWESOME
I have never heard of this thing, it’s fucking BEAUTIFUL
Very informative and professional
Noticed magazine loading issue right away. If you have the slightest fingernail you can load magazine by pulling down on following guide pin.
it was a very poor design choice to make this unable to fire single action.
This pistol is one on the list of "Taurus is ok" guns that I will buy at some point
I have been looking for one of these to buy
The grip issue this guy experienced is determined by hand size, as not all hands are alike.
Very Good 👍
Cool stuff honestly looks like the Baretta 25.mm.. favorite of mine.

I find that this pistol does not like standard .22LR and will stove pipe on you quite a bit if you use it. I have to use high velocity ammo for it to function reliably. One of the things I found amusing about this firearm was in the manual that comes with it and describes the use of the internal gun safety lock. The pistol has a key that will lock the internals to prevent firing until you insert the key and unlock it. The manual includes a warning that says, "Failure to use the internal gun lock when the gun is being stored could result in accidental injury or death." The next line states that, "Using the internal gun lock could make the firearm non functional in an emergency and result in your severe injury or death." That is lawyer speak for, "Damned if you do; Damned if you don’t."
*Would’ve been nice to hear "How many rounds in the magazine" plus one ‘in-the-spout’*
*I assume a ‘magazine-disconnect safety’ means the gun CANNOT be loaded one round at a time and fired with only one hand*
*Lose the magazine, and you have NO GUN, just a ‘nice lump of metal’*
*That’s the HUGE advantage ‘Baretta’ has…as long you have any ammo, it will shoot, ‘mag’ or no ‘mag’*
*That’s why I dislike ‘Automatics’ because you cannot depend on them to ‘Shoot no matter what happens’*
