Watching this now as a sad canadian about to have all centerfire guns banned by a tyrant with daddy issues

    Great review. Thanks

Are the 24/7 series and Millenium series the same gun in terms in internals and firing mechanisms? They only differ in size and externals right?

  4. Bear Gunn on May 6, 2023 at 4:05 am

Great Taurus pistol evolution video, Hop. Good prediction call there, back in July; the Bainbridge, GA G3 guns are now in actual physical existence in November. Thanks for a very informative video.

I might be intetested in a 45acp g3c. Probably not the only one.

Two years later the G2C seems to be alive and well. I just bought two of them from Dunham’s for $224.99 each, which will be $199.99 each after I get the rebates. They were selling the G3C for similar prices, but I really hate the G3C trendy forward gripping grooves and really love the G2C fluted contour at the front of the slide. I like that these Taurus guns seem to have less of an ugly gap between frame and slide than many other plastic-framed guns, including Glocks… I hate seeing that recoil spring through the gap, and on some of the (more costly) competing guns the frame and slide really seem to diverge ugly at the front end.

I consider this to be a nearly ideal defensive pistol. The grip is nicely shaped, nicely textured, and just big enough to get an entirely comfortable grip on. The 12 round magazines seem more than ample to me. The slide runs on a decent amount of steel rails, unlike my Kahr CW380… which is really daring in its minimalist engineering. The only thing I don’t like about the G2C is the plastic sights.

It appears Taurus is currently making some of these guns (G2C and probably G3C) in .40 S&W, though my local dealers did not have any in stock. It seemed an interesting/efficient caliber, but when I saw how current ammo prices are I decided 9mm is plenty powerful for a gun of this size and weight. I just bought a mess of Federal 9mm ball for $15 a box, not much more than it probably cost back in the 1990’s when a dollar was worth $1.75 and .22 rimfire was $8.00 per 550 rounds.

I have the pt140pro do you know of any magazines or sights that can be compatible to the Millennium pro

  8. Lewis Dundas on May 6, 2023 at 4:09 am

I like your style and detailed matter-of-fact description of features and operation. It helped me decide to buy the G3C, and I am glad I did. I think it is a well designed and manufactured pistol that is comfortable to hold and accurate to shoot. Keep up the good work.

Hope gun racist and snob should not do review anymore on gun so unprofessional …

  10. Handguns on May 6, 2023 at 4:11 am

    I want .40 in the g3c

  11. Shane Cheatham on May 6, 2023 at 4:12 am

G2, G2C, then G3…. Which you didn’t list, then G3C.. Which would make it 7th generation

  12. Dru on May 6, 2023 at 4:13 am

What mags will the millenium pro take?

  13. S Justice on May 6, 2023 at 4:14 am

Great firearm…got the millennium pro 2008 version. no problems and very handsome…

  14. MakesSense ToKickUrHead Jr on May 6, 2023 at 4:16 am

What’s the difference between g2 and g3? Can I get parts for the early millenium .380? My friend took his apart and now its broke…binding and the slide lurches slightly forward with trigger pull. Wasnt there when they broke it but has to be something really stupid…

  15. Floyd black on May 6, 2023 at 4:16 am

Great reliable quality guns taurus g series better than those expensive guns that fools you.

  16. Random Russ on May 6, 2023 at 4:16 am

I bought a millinium pro in 2004 wish I saved it I didn’t know they would be short lived.

  17. Handguns on May 6, 2023 at 4:20 am

The g3c is the best gun on the market at that price point.

  18. Phil Cooper on May 6, 2023 at 4:23 am

    I want G3C in .40 S&W!

  19. Wiled man 24 on May 6, 2023 at 4:24 am

    I have a G1 millennium

  20. danialphaomega on May 6, 2023 at 4:25 am

I had a titanium slide millennium I kick myself to this day for letting it go I knew it had to be rare

  21. Just In on May 6, 2023 at 4:26 am

I once shot a glock with a vertical line in the middle of the rear sight notch and a day glow dot on the top of the front sight blade that I much preferred to any figure 8 sights. In particular, acquiring the sight picture was much easier and faster. Does anyone have an explanation why such a small difference had such an outsized effect?

  22. Ronald Weiss on May 6, 2023 at 4:29 am

When you have a double feed, you have to rip (with force) the magazine out. Hence the cut out on grips. Good video. This is an important history and I am glad you did it. BTW, the Millennium Pro Series was a bit more partsy on the internals. It is my favorite. On the drop safe issue, the gun that went off on being dropped was a well used cop gun in Brazil. God knows what the armorer did to it. As to the safety issue, some had that issue, some didn’t. I have a PT-111 that has the issue and another that doesn’t. I have a PT-145 that has the issue and another that doesn’t. So I am just careful with the safeties. Take care.

  23. Keith Bailey on May 6, 2023 at 4:31 am

I ordered a titanium PT-111 back in 1999. It never came in so my lgs just got the “regular” stainless PT-111.

It has always been a handsome little gun, especially the two-tone variants.

  24. Cranky Buzzard on May 6, 2023 at 4:31 am

I LOVE the take down. Talk about easy!! Nice video!!

  25. S C on May 6, 2023 at 4:32 am

when I clicked on this I genuinely mistook it for an Oxide video from the voice

  26. III on May 6, 2023 at 4:33 am

Thanks for the concise walkthrough of the Taurus subcompact 9mm Millennium Edition lineup.

  27. Marc Lemar on May 6, 2023 at 4:33 am

So I have a PT111 G2 before they dropped the PT111 and have wondered what’s the difference thanks for explaining that I can hold on to my money because there isn’t enough to warrant buying a G3C. Instead I’ll use that money for me a Canik.

  28. Frank Franklin on May 6, 2023 at 4:36 am

I got me a Taurus millennium pt111 years ago and accidentally shot my self in the left elbow. I was trying to protect my self from some homies that showed up at the gas station I worked at saying they were gonna clap my cheeks, after I shot my self in the elbow one of em shouted “when you ain’t got that gun we gon clap them cheeks, on God!!”

  29. Mike Skidmore on May 6, 2023 at 4:37 am

As of Feb 2021 Taurus is offering to replace with a GC3 seems like a good upgrade to me ..

  30. c.h. ingate on May 6, 2023 at 4:39 am

At 1:26 through 1:35 he briefly covers the titanium version; so kudos to Hop. Note that there is no disassembly take down lever. That fact is not a problem and I suppose that the difference is attributable to metallurgical issues. Like other Gen 1’s, the frame sides are flat which I found troublesome in that my thumb would unintentionally press the mag release. Later models have molded features that help prevent that process. I still have my titanium for which, in hindsight, I overpaid. Anyway, perhaps someday it will become a collectors item, given its scarcity.

  31. Random Russ on May 6, 2023 at 4:41 am

The g3c slide is a deal breaker for my I like the g2c slide they should had only charged the trigger.

  32. Brandon Blake on May 6, 2023 at 4:43 am

My pistol is the Taurus Millennium Pro titanium PT111 Pro 9M so far I’ve been very pleased with the gun I got it off a friend of mine for $220 with ammo that cost him about $15 a box

  33. Lauro César Expedito Borba de Aro on May 6, 2023 at 4:43 am

    Was the PT-24/7 G2C .45 a good weapon?

  34. joe macalpine on May 6, 2023 at 4:43 am

Most unbiased reviewer . He either likes it or not . Price and Brand don’t matter . Plus he is shooting the whole time

  35. Christopher Wg42 on May 6, 2023 at 4:44 am

    Gooseneck or crooked finger road?

  36. Mike Skidmore on May 6, 2023 at 4:44 am

Good Job I have the thrid Gen .. I was just able to send it back to Taurus to be replaced with a G-2-C . Will be nice not to have to worry about accidental discharges..

  37. Jason Guest on May 6, 2023 at 4:46 am

Fun fact, the 145 takes Para 14 mags.

  38. GameZ on May 6, 2023 at 4:49 am

my dad got both the G3 and G3C around release, and the only real issues I’ve personally had when handling them is just failure to fully feed. it’s been easily fixed just my smacking the mag/back of the slide and it’s fairly rare. I don’t think Taurus deserves the shit they get anymore for these, they really aren’t terrible, never gonna be just as good as a glock or anything high end but they aren’t as bad as some people would lead you to believe

  39. Benjamin Brown on May 6, 2023 at 4:49 am

Wait glock sights fit on a g3?

  40. Ronald Weiss on May 6, 2023 at 4:50 am

When the PT145 came out, it was unique: a 10 round 45 ACP sub-compact. That’s something else! Especially if Biden limits us to ten rounds again. If we are limited to 10, go 45 ACP. Great video!!!

  41. B O B on May 6, 2023 at 4:51 am

I like the double strike capability

Was running cheap Russian steel cased and "failures" would shot after another squeeze

That said I dont own this gun anymore for said reason

  42. Spy vs Spy on May 6, 2023 at 4:52 am

I was living on the past w Taurus until I visited the my local gun shop. I was looking for a cheap truck concealed gun. I almost passed when they recommended the Taurus. One of my fabe guns by far.

  43. Charles James on May 6, 2023 at 4:52 am

I really like seeing the older model guns of late 90s to early 2000s I’ve just started conceal carrying last five years in my thirty’s wish I would have in my 20s I had gun but always left at home or occasionally in my car now I’m always strapped with a back up lol

  44. Matthew Bunn on May 6, 2023 at 4:54 am

Yo this video is awesome. Very professional.

  45. Hoplopfheil on May 6, 2023 at 4:57 am

Correction: The PT-145 (double stack .45 ACP) was available with an accessory rail, in both 2nd and 3rd generations.

  46. mike whipple on May 6, 2023 at 4:57 am

You missed the pt132 in 32acp

  47. ngraves1002 on May 6, 2023 at 4:58 am

    I carry a pt111-Millenium. Also have a pro. Today I just bout 2 G3c to replace them.

  48. DirtySouthHc🥁 on May 6, 2023 at 5:00 am

Excellent! I still everyday carry my PT 111 G2. I wanted to upgrade to the g2c and G3 but really could not find any reason to I figured the trigger out a long time ago and I loved the safety features as a new guy. In the long run happy I did not as now I will upgrade to the gx4. #Taurusguy4life

  49. MIKE MITCHELL on May 6, 2023 at 5:01 am

Bought my pt111 g2 millennium back in 2015 and there was no reviews out there at that time in my opinion this model brought taurus back over thousands of rounds now no problems and i trust it with my life daily for the past 5 years .
