I just cant stand to have stuff in its factory form so this was a quick and easy way to customize and spice up my M&P15. I chose the Mako because I liked the way it looked and it was a bit wider than some of the others out there.

    Thank you for this.

Only reason you need a dust cover is if you’re playing in the sand or dirt. Most will not. Never had a malfunction with my M&P

Where did you buy the grip from? Does it have a number so I can search it easy?

  23. Zakaria600 🤿 on May 3, 2023 at 4:21 am

That storage space is where you keep your red dot’s batteries and allen wrench and sight adjustment tool.

  24. jcs123 on May 3, 2023 at 4:21 am

    Great video. Thank you!

  25. Michael Warren on May 3, 2023 at 4:26 am

I ordered and paid for one of these from MAKO, I never received it. I’ve emailed and called (menu options only) several times with no response!

  26. James M. on May 3, 2023 at 4:29 am

Everyone that is attempting to do this, pay attention to the video, he said you only need a 3/16 Allen key wrench….MAKE SURE…your allen key wrench is a "long arm" allen key just like what he has in the video, notice it is longer than your regular size one and it is of "standard" not metric….I had to go to three different auto parts stores just to find that very tool so I could remove the grip on my M&P…hope this helps….I upgraded mine to the Magpul FDE grip, looks really good…

I dont get why people but m n p sports when they can build a psa ar 15 way better for about the same. But to each their own. If youre happy with your product then power to ya

  29. Tony Z on May 3, 2023 at 4:30 am

    .. Just picked up my S & W M & P Ar 15 Sport ( 2-14-2015 ) ! Love it,can’t wait to start adding custom stuff to it….Great Vid ,by the way !

  30. Cliff JONES on May 3, 2023 at 4:30 am

I just bought one of these but I live in New York so we can’t have the pistol grip or adjustable stock, thanks to mental fn assholes we all get punished

  31. calvin bethea on May 3, 2023 at 4:31 am

Easy my butt !! That delta ring is hard as hell to pull down an removing the foregrip with one hand is almost impossible ! They have a tool that every AR owner should have to pull the delta ring down an used your free hand to take the foregrip off.

  32. Rob Babcock on May 3, 2023 at 4:31 am

Great video.  "Be careful not to lose the spring" as it goes sailing away! 😉  I freaked out when I first tried this and the spring fell out (my first AR so I was like WTF!?).

  33. Benjamin Zavala on May 3, 2023 at 4:33 am

Good thing I saw this before I replaced mine, I didn’t know about that spring after you remove the pistol grip.

  34. Richard Bayeur on May 3, 2023 at 4:35 am

Store some earplugs or batteries inside the new grip.

  35. Hans Turner on May 3, 2023 at 4:35 am

Good video.  I have several AR’s and I am also ex-military (Infantry) so I’ve used an M16 once or twice.  The S&W Sporter rifle is more than enough AR for most people. Additionally the forward assist usually caused more issues than it solved.  Dust cover… most people just shoot their rifle at a range so no issues there.  I found a new one with the magpul rear sight for $540 so I picked it up. Very pleased with it.  It’s a great light weight version of the AR.  I put Magpul furniture on mine in FDE and it’s perfect for the money..

  36. venom2773 on May 3, 2023 at 4:37 am

Thanks for this video I’m an ar noobie so yes the spring flew out but i found it . Awesome 👌

  37. BLASTER on May 3, 2023 at 4:37 am

    Great video.
Is a forward grip compatible with that model?

  38. jobad56 on May 3, 2023 at 4:40 am

Dude stfu and tell me how to remove grip. God damn get to the point

  39. Dustin Brock on May 3, 2023 at 4:41 am

  40. Kelly Albert on May 3, 2023 at 4:42 am

I was about to make the same change and wouldn’t have known about the selector spring if not for your excellent video. Thanks!

  41. Matt Ziegler on May 3, 2023 at 4:43 am

3/16’s Allen Key. That’s exactly what I needed to know.

  42. Jack Burton on May 3, 2023 at 4:44 am

Thanks for showing how to change the grip and you get extra points for having Tool playing in the background. Subscribed for Jambi.

  43. KlyddKorupt on May 3, 2023 at 4:45 am

Nice Vid, I just picked up my M&P 15. Only problem I have is that the stock seems to be fixed. Did your come with the 6 position movable?

  44. Benny Blanco on May 3, 2023 at 4:45 am

A Dust cover was useful in the sand definitely… main reason a weapon will malfunction

  45. Chris Slack on May 3, 2023 at 4:48 am

    Nice job!

  46. Chanso716 on May 3, 2023 at 4:48 am

Love my M&P 15 Sport II.  But I had to upgrade the hand grip to one that had a heat shield build into it.  It did add a little weight, but it was forward and actually helped keep the muzzle down.  Great AR for the money!

  47. CD on May 3, 2023 at 4:49 am

My screw was on so tight from the factory that I had to use A LOT of force to loosen it. The threads are kind of beat up now, tried to install a new grip and I did not use any force since I was making sure the screw was line up, and it would not go in. Pretty pissed off that a brand new gun has a thread issue already. Not sure why it was on so tight from the factory but I assume that’s what messed up the threads.

  48. Tristan-bottorff on May 3, 2023 at 4:51 am

You could possibly store a small tourniquet in that grip

  49. Andrew Lux on May 3, 2023 at 4:52 am

Check out the HS510c from holosun. I prefer it to Eotech. Both are excellent but the Eotech is 200 bucks more for a reticle that looks grainy compared to the Holosun.
