I was very excited for the M&P 10mm, except I’m still a little wary of them because of the teething issues they’ve experienced. General consensus is that they are either perfect or have trouble with jamming. I believe the culprit is a weak magazine and/or recoil spring, however, if I’m carrying a 10mm for critter protection I want it to be reliable beyond a shadow of doubt.

Still leaning towards the XDM 10 or Glock 20.

Still just an absolutely incredible marksman.

  6. mopesrus on March 31, 2023 at 3:14 am

Tru-Glo TFO sights are tritium and fiber optic. I’ve put them on my duty guns as well as personally owned pistols for years. Gotta love ’em. Not sure which sights you have but they look similar.

10mm really is the best all-round handgun to own. The speed and accuracy over distance of a 9mm handgun with the bullet mass and take down power of a .45 caliber handgun all in one. I was thinking if you could only have one handgun it has to be a 10mm. For home defense you can have a clip or two of subsonic hollow points to make sure you don’t risk penetrating walls of the house to protect anyone in the house or outside which normally I would say a .45 is better for inside a house home defense but the 10mm is really flexible in this area. Then switching out the clip to your day carry rounds gives you the speed, distance and accuracy of a 9mm with the take down power that the .45 round at close distance.

Seems like it’s recoiling pretty badly for you compared to the glock20.

He made it sound like a song when he was hitting all those targets I think he was in key to

  25. phillipicus on March 31, 2023 at 3:32 am

One handed 10mm is impressive. My glock 20 is like holding a brick that is a 10 mm, i have large hands

  26. Mr. Nobody on March 31, 2023 at 3:33 am

I haven’t shot 10mm yet. I have a hard enough time with 9mm. Still learning.

My favorite handgun I’ve shot was some old guy on the range saw my Army hoodie and asked me if I wanted to see how they did it back in the day

M1911A1 that he kept after getting out of the Army in the late 1950s. I think it was made by Singer sewing machines and man was it cool

He wouldn’t let me shoot a modern 2 hand grip. He taught me the WWII stance.
Needless to say, anybody standing 3 yards down range from me would be safe πŸ˜‚

  27. Todd Fritz on March 31, 2023 at 3:34 am

    They look like Truglo sights

  28. Jeffrey Moyer on March 31, 2023 at 3:36 am

Hello from chilly eastern WV Hickock45. What is your opinion of the 10mm round in general, for concealed carry/personal protection, or protection against large predators? Good shooting, and thanks!

    Good Morning

  30. Joseph Kaphing on March 31, 2023 at 3:38 am

Thinking about getting this 10. Have you done a review on the rock island 10? I have that one and have issues with it jamming

  31. 77Infidel on March 31, 2023 at 3:38 am

I always remember the FORS principle for sights. Front opposite, rear same. Once you learn it, it’s easy enough for a simpleton. This is based on where you want your point of impact. If you’re shooting low or you want your point of impact higher, lower your front sight. If you’re shooting high or you want your point of impact lower, raise your front sight.
If your rear sight is the one that is adjustable, adjust up if you want the point of impact higher, lower it if you want the impact lower.
If you’re shooting to the left of the intended target, and you want your impact to be more to the right, move the rear to the right. I don’t know why so many people argue with me over this but this is fact.

    hell yea The KING

  34. Chris N on March 31, 2023 at 3:41 am

Shooting a 10mm one handed and hitting what you’re aiming at every time, even 12 yards away is impressive. Let alone 80 yards.
(Yes he gets plenty of practice obviously. But that’s the point. Instead of spending money on "upgrades", learn to shoot what you have, and shoot it well. Spend that money on ammo and range time. Instead of accessories)

  35. Country Conner on March 31, 2023 at 3:44 am

Would you recommend this over the glock 20?

  36. Boby Jones on March 31, 2023 at 3:44 am

Yes I have one so far so good. This is why I enjoy your videos. The guns people claim they have problems with you seem to have no issues .

  37. PhilPlaysThis on March 31, 2023 at 3:45 am

I just got a game caleld H3VR and it lead me to here, I wanted to know who’s gun range was featured in it. You are simply a pretty neat guy!

    Cool sights!
Just realized about Ballistol. John says it’s *"non-toxic"* there at the end of your videos.
I recently learned that the "non-toxic" label put on many products really just means that it’s under 50% toxic substances.
What you should be looking for is *"toxin free".* They’re different labels, and they’re different for a reason.
