Smith & Wesson M&P45 and Vedder Holsters!

Smith & Wesson M&P45 and Vedder Holsters!

As a huge fan of the humble .45 Auto round for concealed carry, I think the Smith & Wesson M&P45 is one of the best large-frame pistols available in this monster caliber. In this video Iโ€™ll introduce you to the pistol and show you a way to carry a large gun like this under light clothing in the hottest weatherโ€ฆ along with a spare magazineโ€ฆ comfortably! I also might put some big olโ€™ holes in the faces of a couple bad guys, so stick around!

Lost me at 900 to 1000 fps with 230 gr ball.

I liked my M&P .40 when I was on duty, but I canโ€™t get into this one with the low round mags. If they had a 13 like a G21 or a 15 like the FN Iโ€™d be all over it.

  3. Eric Frazier on March 20, 2023 at 2:57 am

Very helpful. I appreciate how your videos are practically informative and enjoyable to watch. Please keep up the good work.

  4. EMAR0933 on March 20, 2023 at 2:57 am

Did Vedder discontinue their discount with Office Gregg?

  5. J. H. on March 20, 2023 at 2:58 am

You stated there was som problems on the gen 1 mp45. Was that on all of them or just โ€œa bad runโ€? Where I live I only have the first gen as an option currently ! So, are they good to go ?

  6. Fong Yang on March 20, 2023 at 2:58 am

I will get that one holster.

  7. Mike Withers on March 20, 2023 at 3:00 am

OG you did it again. Another awesome video on the great 45 cal. Love your honest reviews and straight shooting style. M&P is the most comfortable line for my meaty paws, and built like a tank. Stay safe out there

  8. Tom Postel on March 20, 2023 at 3:01 am

Great presentation Officer Gregg. I’m former Texas LEO and I enjoy carrying my full size Glock 22. My bed side is the Glock 41 45acp. Unfortunately a 5.3" barrel is too big for EDC. I’m looking for a 4.6 barrel 45acp and your S&W .45acp…. I like!! Thank you for sharing, great video. ๐Ÿ‘

  9. Donna Pratt on March 20, 2023 at 3:02 am

For those that think the .45 is old and slow, if you get to pick what the bad guy shoots at you, knowing what you know about 9mm vs the .45 ACP, which round would you rather face?

  10. Michael Pond on March 20, 2023 at 3:03 am

I carried a Sig P220 for many years, eventually my department issued Glocks . I was a Detective and they tried to issue a compact . No dice, I carried a model 21 full size in 45acp. I retired and bought myself a Springfield XDS 45acp and an FN P45 15+1 . I still have that Sig. I never was a 9mm or .40 cal. I loved my .357mag and .45acp .

  11. Deandre Mignott on March 20, 2023 at 3:04 am

companies that donโ€™t make holster for full size 45 pistols are racist, ๐Ÿ˜‚ for like 2 seconds I laughed way to loud in public ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ guess Iโ€™m getting vedder

  12. Jason j on March 20, 2023 at 3:04 am

For some reason when I go to there website I can only find 10mm with 4.6 barrel no .45

  13. The Elwhastrummer on March 20, 2023 at 3:04 am

I have an Urban Carry IWB for my SW Mod 59, and it came in a real nice bag just like that Vedder. I’m gonna contact them and see if they will make a AIWB for my pistol. That would be cool. As much as I like my Urban Carry, it’s not rigid enough to put on my appendix. It does carry real well at 3:30 and SOB.

  14. Charlie on March 20, 2023 at 3:05 am

    I have the M&P 45c 1.0 and it has a great tigger.

  15. Scott Smith on March 20, 2023 at 3:06 am

I just hope that itโ€™s Bidenโ€™s head you are putting holes in. Great job!๐Ÿ‘

  17. Daniel Rodriguez on March 20, 2023 at 3:06 am

    I use the Vedder LightTuck
I love their metal clips, top notch.
The fit and finish for my Beretta Px4 and M&P Shield plus are fantastic.

  18. Heath Marcum on March 20, 2023 at 3:08 am

I carried a Springfield TRP 1911 non rail for a long time about a year in a half, if you use a GOOD belt and holster, and you are dedicated to incorporating it into your daily EDC it is very possible. Now days it’s a p365 but every now and then I go back to the 1911.

  19. Mark Stambaugh on March 20, 2023 at 3:09 am

You have a beautiful Range there Officer Greg.

  20. Henry Cruz on March 20, 2023 at 3:10 am

    Love my M&P 45c.
I went with the compact because I can carry it as a compact yet have a 10 rnd spare.
With the 10 round spare it’s like having the full size so two in one gun

  21. Philippe FRATER on March 20, 2023 at 3:14 am

Very nice! I need one for my 92FS…

The M&P 45 doesn’t really get talked about at all or even purchase that much

  23. Modern Mandalorian on March 20, 2023 at 3:19 am

I’ve had an M&P 45 2.0 for several years now. I absolutely love shooting it. the recoil handles really well and i love the double stack. I’d still take this over a 1911

  24. Uncle Cracker on March 20, 2023 at 3:21 am

Let me know in a response if anyone thinks this is a good deal,
My SHIELD 45acp w/ TRUGLO TFX PROS 3 magazines, a VEDDER LIGHT TUCK Holster w/ matching Magazine Holster to sell for $500!
Good Deal or Not a Good Deal???

i do not miss the california heat…………….

  26. EthanAllen1775 on March 20, 2023 at 3:22 am

Will the .45 holster work for the 10mm?

  27. R M on March 20, 2023 at 3:22 am

I know this is an older video…but I too love my M&P M2.0 full-size .45!!! I carry mine regularly, AIWB in a Concealment Express holster. One of my favorite videos is from Colion Noir on people that carry 45’s. 1/2 inch will get the job done!

  28. Larry Floyd on March 20, 2023 at 3:25 am

I like the .45 round with my G-21

  29. D B on March 20, 2023 at 3:25 am

Picked up a G21 recently. Love the 45 acp.

  30. jose moreno on March 20, 2023 at 3:25 am

45acp is king for self defence

  31. GSB5W on March 20, 2023 at 3:27 am

Vedder makes good stuff. I too have their light tuck holster and mag carrier. Iโ€™ve also got their Cobra belt.

  32. Asher Dog on March 20, 2023 at 3:28 am

I had a Colt Gold Cup 1911 that I used to compete with that went off twice with a round in the chamber. In both cases my finger was no where near the trigger. After the second misfire I retired the gun but have never carried another simi auto with a round in the barrel. Eleven shot front carry like that seems like a good way to get a free sex change.

  33. GSWguy455 on March 20, 2023 at 3:28 am

What brand OWB holsters for this gun do you recommend?

  34. Patrick Basin on March 20, 2023 at 3:29 am

I wish there was a compact

  35. Andog 609 on March 20, 2023 at 3:30 am

I’m 5’4" and started with a glock 21 as my duty weapon, before moving to an hk45. Any gun can work for ccw, my duty and ccw is always the same gun, with the right clothes, never had an issue and most of the time I wear a regular t shirt. The hk45 would be a lot easier if it had flat flush mags instead of the rubber base pad. Switched off to the 4 inch m&p 2.0 in 45 and it is even easier

  36. John Doe on March 20, 2023 at 3:31 am

You immediately earned my respect by not being a foaming at the mouth rabid 9mm tactitard. The other thing you did was shoot paper where you can actually see the impacts and measure group size. Too many people bang steel these days and aren’t that good really. It takes far less skill to ring a large 8"+ steel plate nicking the far leading edge of it. When you can shoot bullets through the same ragged hole on paper then you have something worth bragging about. Good shooting and also good on you for holding true to American heritage using the .45 ACP round that never gets old or becomes "dated" contrary to a lot of kids and nOObs opinions!

  37. James Bradshaw on March 20, 2023 at 3:32 am

Thanks for the info. Iโ€™ve been looking for a good holster for my S&W 45 M2.0. I would like one that would accept a light on the pistol as well. Like you, Iโ€™m a fan of the .45ACP. Iโ€™ve been shooting them for over fifty years. I can still handle the recoil. I know one day Iโ€™ll have to switch to the 9mm. But until then, Iโ€™ll stick to the.45ACP.

  38. Nlorman Stuckman on March 20, 2023 at 3:34 am

Shooting like that at 7 yds all u need is 22 LR

  39. AH! Why is there poop in your mouth on March 20, 2023 at 3:37 am

Damn OG, you’re like a walking AIMBOT. 1:10
    Those groups are beautiful.

    Noisy neighbors, hahaha

  41. RONALD Sjr on March 20, 2023 at 3:42 am

I have a ton of Vedder holsters and I love them. Especially the Light Tuck IWB holsters. Very good quality. Another good holster for the money is Bravo Concealment.

  42. John T. Block on March 20, 2023 at 3:43 am

.45 is cool! Loves me some pumpkin rollers, Gregg. And if you can pull of 15 yd. head-shots, all I can say is
    HELL, YEAH!!

  43. A C on March 20, 2023 at 3:44 am

Thatโ€™s why there is less gun crime ad murders in England as a normal person ad not get a license for a firearm

  44. Uncle Cracker on March 20, 2023 at 3:46 am

I love my SHIELD 45acp and use a VEDDER LIGHT TUCK carbon fiber design w/ matching Mag Holster!!!
But I am seriously thinking about selling it for a M&P 2.0 4" 45acp. 10+1 is hard to beat!!!!

  45. Zona 3141 on March 20, 2023 at 3:48 am

    Good review. Subscribed.

  46. Hawk 1966 on March 20, 2023 at 3:48 am

10-11 rounds of .45 will do the job on almost any occasion. Damn good round with one hell of a long history.

  47. Kraals on March 20, 2023 at 3:49 am

I completely agree with you on the Vedder Holster. I carry a P80 in 9mm and a Sig, commander size, 1911 in .45ACP in Vedder holsters. I have a box full of holsters and the Lite Tuck is always the first pick.

  48. Rand on March 20, 2023 at 3:50 am

You guys get to have 10+1 there? Here in the People’s Socialist Republic of New Yorkistan we humble Comrades are only permitted to have 7 in our magazines because it is "more safe". The Supreme Edict is called the "NY Safe Act".

  49. 44 Hawk on March 20, 2023 at 3:51 am

Like most people you miss the entire point of an external safety. It has nothing to do with protecting Heather’s from the operator of the firearm, when they know how to operate it, from shooting people improperly or during an unapproved instance. It has everything to do with whether or not somebody get your firearm that is not supposed to have it and they can’t get it to go off because they don’t even pay attention to the fact that it might have an external safety. Other than that there are no safeties on that fire on that’ll stop somebody from killing you with it unless you have that external safety added to the firearm. They are mechanisms to keep the gun from going off if you drop it or some internal issue with the firearm. But they are not safety’s. Anybody or anything that gets in that trigger guard to pulls that trigger is going to make it go bang!
