Review: Taurus PT-111 Millennium Pro 9mm – Concealed Carry (Plus) | The Social Regressive

Review: Taurus PT-111 Millennium Pro 9mm – Concealed Carry (Plus) | The Social Regressive

The 13-round 9mm pocket gun that runs like a full-size pistol.

If you are looking for a concealed-carry pistol, there are many excellent options from companies like Glock, Springfield, Smith & Wesson, Kahr, Ruger, SIG, and Beretta. Don’t overlook Taurus, though, particularly if you have a tight budget. This PT-111 Millennium Pro is an excellent CCW option for many reasons.

The Taurus Millennium Pro boasts a crisp pull, a 12-round magazine, an excellent sight picture, and a slim profile for a double-stack gun. It weighs a bit more than all the new single-stack pistols on the market, but that’s one reason why I prefer it. A little extra width and a little extra weight mean more available rounds for a defense situation and a more usable gun overall, particularly for women or small-statured folks.

The PT-111 Pro is also supremely reliable, easily handling any kind of ammo.

Drawbacks include sights that point too high, occasional light primer strikes, and an absence of aftermarket components and accessories.

I’ve had my G2c for over 7 months and put over 2000 rounds through it without one single problem.
Yeah, the finish wore off, but threw some Rust-Oleum camo paint on it…
Didn’t really care for the long travel, but put it a trigger shoe from Keep Tinkering.
    Check his YouTube channel out.
He has several triggers to choose from and has detailed videos on disassembly and installation.
The best $30 and 40 minutes I’ve ever spent on a firearm.
    Thanks for sharing brother!

I’m a big Taurus fan and your introduction almost lost me. I own 3 Taurus pistols and love them all as they are all accurate, reliable and eats everything I feed them.

  17. tallica2002 on March 11, 2023 at 2:59 am

  20. Sam Sung on March 11, 2023 at 3:02 am

Check your ejector . Sold mine lost confidence in the fact it had excessive looseness, the pins wallowed it out over a few thousand rounds

  23. GRUMPYOLDMAN 2020 on March 11, 2023 at 3:04 am

Great Video sir! Really enjoyed it a lot. Glad to see i am not the only one who came to this gun for a ccw/edc pistol!

  24. 8aleph on March 11, 2023 at 3:06 am

Actually Taurus is good for the money, just like Hi point they get no respect from gun snobs. as a retiree I am on a tight budget I can’t afford Glocks or Smiths or any of the pricey pistols. I’m considering replacing my smith snubby with a G2c

  25. Tony "Fat Tony" Salerno on March 11, 2023 at 3:07 am

    Well Taurus Is all the rage now everybody has a g2c a g3c or a g3 now I have all 3 and a gx4 and 709 slim and a 740 slim and a tx22 and a pt809c and a th40c 😂

  26. Spawn Of Kill on March 11, 2023 at 3:08 am

How about +P ammo??? Have you tried any or seen any official word from Taurus as to whether it can handle 9mm +P ?

  27. Player 1 on March 11, 2023 at 3:08 am

  36. af22raptor23503 on March 11, 2023 at 3:19 am

Nice Video! The Reason that your pistol is a 12 O’Clock that is called Point of Aim and Point of Impact being the Same! Small Pistol Usually have that setup because they are used at VERY CLOSE RANGES! It’s part of the Sight Radius when the Sight Radius is Short the Point of Impact will Normally be the Same as Point of Aim, when the Sight Radius is Longer that is when you can start getting the different adjustments.

  37. Dom Lucia on March 11, 2023 at 3:19 am

Thank you for ALL of the information you provide, 350 Legend video. I have acquired many higher priced guns recently IMO, due to my wife not letting me buy them and the beer situation- Sig, FN, G. Spring etc.
Last Glock I bought store owner characterized Taurus as a hand grenade.
After research, my EDC is a G3c and it works great.

  38. Berto Po on March 11, 2023 at 3:22 am

I’ve seen a video that it says its not safe to carry it loaded even the safety is on. It can go off if dropped. Is it really true?

  39. 2003Harleyguy on March 11, 2023 at 3:22 am

Sig P226 9mm mags fit my pistol perfectly. Good way to have hi-cap mags for it.

  40. Dunsdon Jone on March 11, 2023 at 3:23 am

Are the 24/7 series and Millenium series the same gun in terms in internals and firing mechanisms? They only differ in size and externals right??

  41. Bob Lazar on March 11, 2023 at 3:24 am

I like these old pt111 so well I have a small collection of them.

    Inexpensive, reliable, and fun.

I have more expensive firearms…but jokes aside Taurus is a lot of bang for the buck.

  42. Floyd black on March 11, 2023 at 3:24 am

  48. Mark Trujillo on March 11, 2023 at 3:40 am

I have the same weapon very reliable can’t remember ever having a jam. But it is extremely inaccurate good for close quarters/ home defense only! I wouldn’t daily carry…

  49. Duster Dan on March 11, 2023 at 3:41 am

Can you tell me the main differences between the millennium pro & the G2C?
