I have a bunch of Ruger firearms. Rifles, shotguns and handguns. NONE of them have ANY warranty. Ruger, one of the largest and most respected manufacturers has NO WARRANTY.
I have a Taurus PT111 G2 with a lifetime warranty…haven’t needed to use the warranty.
I have been buying guns for more than 50 years and I can tell you I never even considered a warranty as an issue. EVER. I have Colt and S&W handguns and Winchester rifles over 100 years old that work perfectly. This warranty nonsense was invented by pajama boys that buy extended coverage for their video games. YOU ARE BUYING A GUN! I bought a Colt Trooper .357 over the weekend for $850 made in 1963. (NOT the Trooper MKIII, the "Trooper .357"). What’s the warranty on that? "COLT" THAT’s the warranty. I have my grandfather’s guns, my father’s guns and they will be passed on to my children and grandchildren and will probably still be working perfectly after 4,5 or 6 lifetimes.
I have outlived several gun companies already.
I am debating buying a S&W M&P .22 or the Taurus TX22. Everything I hear about the Taurus looks good so far. Thanks for the video.

That’s great news. I own the PT-111 G2 and thought of buying the G2C, but the one year warranty held me back. My G2 fell under lifetime warranty which is why I purchased it. Good for Taurus. I hope they see a rise in sales because of this change. Godspeed!
Now the question is, has their customer service improved? I recall hearing a few years ago that warranty claims took months to get completed and customer service representatives would try to blame the customer for all kinds of issues.
That "original sales receipt" could be a problem.
Cash register receipt tape is "heat sensitive" and fades out pretty quickly. A year or so down the road and you can’t read it.

How do you register with Taurus. I tried on line and I even sent them a message. I have not heard back from yet.
Yes, I received an email stating the life time warranty and I had 30 days from purchase to register my Spectrum.
That is great news the only guns I will buy that comes with a lousy one year warranty are Glocks
Just buy a damn used Glock and sleep well knowing that if a criminal kicks in your door you got a gun that won’t shit the bed!
