Today weโ€™re gonna talk about accuracy. All hunters want their shots to land where they aim. For one, accuracy translates into reliability. Having an accurate rifle gives you the confidence to nail that shot and helps you focus on where to point. Another reason is ethics in the sense that you can achieve clean kills. You just need one shot to take down the game, which minimizes suffering.

  2. J- Splitt on January 2, 2023 at 1:06 am

99% of firearms shoot better than the person pulling the trigger. I have a savage axis in 22-250 that shoots 1/4" groups at 100 yards

  3. Reb on January 2, 2023 at 1:07 am

I can only go my my own personal experience. The two most accurate rifles I have ever owned were: Savage heavy barreled varmint rifle (22-250) I once owned. The first time I sighted it in at 100 yds., I shot 9 rounds and ended up with 2 holes, dead center of a 2" bulls eye. (1 shot was about 1/8 inch away from the hole made by the other 8). Next was a Winchester Model 70 featherweight (30-06) I bought back in 83. It consistently gets a 3 shot 1 inch group 100 yds.

  5. Craig Hightower on January 2, 2023 at 1:09 am

A better title for this video would be: " Some info on ten rifles."

  6. Normando Caban on January 2, 2023 at 1:12 am

Sorry, military rifles are not sporting or hunting firearms

  7. John Buck on January 2, 2023 at 1:15 am

Just get a ruger m77 high quality fair price decent accuracy no need for all the analysis

  8. Alex McAllister on January 2, 2023 at 1:17 am

    No Model 70?

  9. Mark Johnson on January 2, 2023 at 1:18 am

Most rifles can out-shoot the shooter. One of the biggest problems I have seen is that folks want to go big. Let’s get a 7mm or 300 Magnum. For most North American game you don’t need anything that big unless you want to go real long-range. The high recoil of these higher powered rounds ends in flinching. I sort of suspect this is one of the reasons the ARs are so popular. There is very little noticeable recoil. For dear my choice would be something like the 6.5 MS. For elk, bump it up to a 308 or 30-06. Nothing bigger is needed. I have had friends (regular shooters) try and shoot some of the bigger bore safari rifles. They couldn’t hit a garbage can at 100 yards.

Think about it before you go spend a ton of money for something that really isn’t needed.

  10. James Bond on January 2, 2023 at 1:18 am

IDC what this said. A ruger American 6.5 creed is damn accurate. I mean damn accurate.

  11. Daniel Sundstrom on January 2, 2023 at 1:19 am

Model 788 find a expensive rifle that comes close, much less a rifle in it’s price group. Overlooking it is just plain hating

  12. Maurice Matla on January 2, 2023 at 1:19 am

I wonder hoe one actually fairly ascesses that die starters to honest judge that the human factor must be eliminated.

  13. thomwern on January 2, 2023 at 1:21 am

    Blaser R8.

  14. Ron Byers on January 2, 2023 at 1:24 am

The Remington 788 in 6mm Remington is the most accurate hunting rifle I have ever seen. Remington discontinued them because they were so inexpensive and shot so well Remington didn’t want the competition for their more profitable and stylish 700.

  15. OLโ€™ Cow Catcher on January 2, 2023 at 1:25 am

What happened to the good old meat gun 30 /30 not many people want to shoot 2 miles to kill a deer

  16. Arn on January 2, 2023 at 1:25 am

Sako 85 varmint stainless steel laminated stock 6ppc and 22 ppc world’s most accurate production rifle. Great video very informative learned a few things for sure!

  17. Michael McKinney on January 2, 2023 at 1:29 am

I agree w guy below I didn’t see any sig Sauer Sako weather y and that 1 looks like an assault rifle

  18. Brandon Young on January 2, 2023 at 1:29 am

Wetherby Vanguard at $700 will out perform most of the rifles in this list.

  19. quack head on January 2, 2023 at 1:30 am

My savage 110 tactical in.308 is shooting 5 shot group in the ten ring at 200 yard’s that’ll do for me.

  20. Mark Templin on January 2, 2023 at 1:30 am

Remington, 788๐Ÿ‘ I can literally drive primers out of spent cartridge at 100 yards๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

  21. T Wolak on January 2, 2023 at 1:31 am

    10. Remington 700. 9 REMINGTON 788, 8 Win model 70, 7. Weatherby mark V. 6. Browning A,Bolt. 5. Ruger M77.4. Savage 110. 3. S&W model 1200. 2 Remington 783 1. Kimber model 82. Not in order of accuracy.

  22. chad roberts on January 2, 2023 at 1:33 am

Most rifles can be extremely accurate if you spend the time learning how to handload and tailor the load to what the gun likes. Powder, projectile and seating depth makes a huge difference.

  23. Nancy Fazenbaker on January 2, 2023 at 1:34 am

Winchester 52 is not a hunting rifle. It’s a small bore 22 target rifle. I own 2 of them. Way too heavy for hunting of any kind. My Winchester model 52 22 is heavier than my 7mm rem mag.

  24. DG Mason on January 2, 2023 at 1:34 am

A rifle is only as accurate as the one aiming it.

  25. hipflip1011 on January 2, 2023 at 1:34 am

ever heard of Steyr, Sauer, Blaser, Sako, Tikka, etc??

  26. Mark Templin on January 2, 2023 at 1:37 am

My 788, from what I understand is Remington stop selling it, cuz it out shoot the 700, and sold for less$ now I have a post 70 win 70 as well,, which is also a tack driver,,, now my 788, is in 243, and the 70 is in 22 250,,, so yeah they are both tack drivers

  27. Tonya Parker on January 2, 2023 at 1:38 am

    dont buy any of these

  28. Dave on January 2, 2023 at 1:38 am

I’ve been hunting since I was 8 now are you talking hunting in N America because if you are the whole dam video is a joke for one I will put my 30-06 X bolt browning up against any of this shit on here at a 300 yard shot any day of the week and the thing that makes the 30-06 so great and like NO other caliber is you can shoot anything from a coyote to a polar bear with over the counter grain choices .When you posted the 308 that’s when I started to chuckle I never seen one that was worth a dam not one but it will kick the shit out of the shooter .All this talk about what the best rifle lets not forget the 30-06 that might be good to 100 yards took more deer then all them rifles you have on there put together and the 303 British took more polar bear then that whole joke of a list all put together .I don’t know where your getting your stats wouldn’t be off CNN would it .

  29. Coach Hannah on January 2, 2023 at 1:39 am

Rifles cannot have the attribute of "accuracy."

    Just sayin’

  30. vintagetrks Kelley on January 2, 2023 at 1:42 am

Combat vet here. An AR15/ M4 was only intended for killing humans. Make no friggin mistake it’s not a hunting weapon. anyone who says an AR15 is a hunting weapon is an Ignorant fucking civilian !

  31. Tom Clark on January 2, 2023 at 1:42 am

I have a Winchester model 70 in 30 06 its a tack driver I use it for deer hunting

  32. David Kelly on January 2, 2023 at 1:42 am

  33. Flugschรผler Fluglehrer on January 2, 2023 at 1:42 am

Where is Steyer and Blaser? All of their rifles are sub moa.

  34. Kjell Johnsson on January 2, 2023 at 1:44 am

This video could perhaps be called "Most accurate hunting rifles made in AMERICA", but for God sake, if you involve the WORLD, none of these would have qualified, trust me! LOL

  35. June on January 2, 2023 at 1:45 am

Like my 306, 308, & 243 wooden stocks NO Scopes for this lady. Been shooting since 7 years old dad stood behind me.He taught me well

  37. Donald Cassidy on January 2, 2023 at 1:49 am

Do you know what handgun was used in the University of Virginia murder of 3 football players on school bus. Why were the victims and accused shooter people of color. Was the shooter purposely killing people of color because of UVA or was there a past between them?

  38. dfgr yuyju on January 2, 2023 at 1:49 am

Not the gun.. but the shooter..

  39. Arnold Heckers on January 2, 2023 at 1:51 am

.25 Donald Wasp? Custom made; the barrel diameter was the size of a quarter coin…

  40. Andrew Hartl on January 2, 2023 at 1:52 am

Most accurate rifle video and shows American junk Savage and Remington ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿ˜‚ Try Sako, Tikka, SIG, Finish, German, Belgian, Swiss. Missed them all

  41. Shahpour Ahmadi on January 2, 2023 at 1:54 am

Thank you for help selling some obsolete rifles.

  42. Curtis Miller on January 2, 2023 at 1:55 am

What about WeatherBug Rifles, they are very accurate as well. ๐Ÿ‘

  43. Michael Krafft on January 2, 2023 at 1:55 am

8 x 60 S Mauser is my best rifle. Shot Buffalo and Plaingame plus Leopard over many yrars. A great rifle I inherited from my father.

  44. Anders Mogensen on January 2, 2023 at 1:55 am

This list made me laugh so hard I woke up my wife. Sako, Tikka, Schultz & Larsen, Bergara, Mauser, Blaser, Sauer, Merkel, Steyr, and on and on and on. If you want people to take you seriously, stop making these outrageuosly obvious america centric videos – no one in their right mind can take them, or you, serious after this silly trash

  45. Kevin Ashby on January 2, 2023 at 2:01 am

Ironically this video somewhat missed the mark. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  46. Hugo Stiglitz on January 2, 2023 at 2:01 am

Carl Gustaf (Husqvarna) In 30.06 and handloads it prints 3/4" all day. There’s not a better bolt made, original owner since the early 70’s.

  47. Doug Campbell on January 2, 2023 at 2:01 am

Still have to make the shot doesn’t matter how accurate it is.

  48. John Blay on January 2, 2023 at 2:03 am

Why was the win.mag used as a sniper rifle in Vietnam if it wasnโ€™t as accurate as the ones mentioned here?๐Ÿ˜ฎ

  49. Doug Reimer on January 2, 2023 at 2:03 am

Hunting is a joke. I guess the thrill is the Kill.

  50. Adam Sutton on January 2, 2023 at 2:04 am

Check out the old Remington 788 which was sold originally for around $100 until Remington 700 Winchester model 70, weatherby and browning rifle owners kept complaining they were upset because this cheap Remington was out shooting there big name big money rifles….sadly Remington discontinued it shortly after that
