What is the pH of 1.0 M HCl?

What is the pH of 1.0 M HCl?

To calculate the pH of a strong acid like HCl (hydrochloric), recognize that [H+] = 1.0 M simply because it IS a strong acid.
Now you can use pH = -log[H+]
It’s zero !
