In this video we show and discuss the new .45 ACP M&P Shield from Smith & Wesson. It was only a matter of time before they would start producing a single stack bowling ball delivery device, and it performs. Stay tuned, much more on the way.

Apex moved to good old Arizona from communist California. We love it down here. Business is booming.

  3. David Campbell on December 27, 2022 at 12:52 am

    dangnabbit those underwoods are purty!

  5. Aaron Jette on December 27, 2022 at 12:53 am

That’s false information on the apex trigger. Apex makes a specific kit for the shield 45.

  6. A Henley on December 27, 2022 at 12:53 am

Eric kept saying ray was going to come in and shoot. But i never saw him. Heard his voice and saw the gun float in air but never actually saw ray. Either way another great video

  7. Blake M on December 27, 2022 at 12:57 am

Mag cut ur finger…….y mags where impossible to load b4 I used a screw driver to force the follower threw the first time

  8. Stoner Page on December 27, 2022 at 12:57 am

Is anyone familiar with the Copper Matrix NTF range ammo? It was cheap enough I bought several boxes but when it was time to clean the gun after shooting, I noticed the barrel was stained with a copper hue. Does that come out or is it permanent?

  9. Nbrink 68 on December 27, 2022 at 12:57 am

I have the 2.0 since it came out and the trigger is pretty light for a concealed carry pistol! Way lighter than any of my other pistols outta the box!

  10. YourMotherAndI on December 27, 2022 at 12:57 am

I want to get this and get rid of my shield gen 1 9

  16. Walter on December 27, 2022 at 1:03 am

this pistol can really sling some brass way out there, lol

  17. josh48315 on December 27, 2022 at 1:05 am

I came here just to see if there was an explanation on the +1 marking on the mags. It had be so confused at first lol

  18. Chris Natale on December 27, 2022 at 1:06 am

Will the barrel from the 45c fit in the shield? I want to get it but only if I can throw my 4 inch barrel in it.

  19. James Pugh on December 27, 2022 at 1:06 am

Been waiting for this to come out for long time. Got see few in gun shop and hold them but their way over priced. In the xds price range.

  20. guns3853 on December 27, 2022 at 1:07 am

Love the video. Would like to hear comparison between the .40 shield and .45 shield in recoil control.

  21. Michael Schaffer on December 27, 2022 at 1:08 am

The Shield 45 is one of my favorites. The sights on the 45 are the same as the 9 but triggers are different. This is by far my favorite small 45. It’s sized perfectly for the cartridge. Pearce grips makes a finger extension for the 6 round mag it increases control a bit but doesn’t affect concealment. Hyve makes a +1 for the 7 rounder. Great little 45.

  22. mic mac on December 27, 2022 at 1:10 am

    People just go GLOCK!

  23. Sidney Patin on December 27, 2022 at 1:10 am

Is a 3.3" barrel long enough to get standard velocity with the .45 ACP? I have not been able to find any ballistic information on this gun. Anyone out there have that?

  24. daniel salyer on December 27, 2022 at 1:11 am

I shop at big woods goods great people work there the indoor range is very nic

  25. wsieber89 on December 27, 2022 at 1:13 am

  26. Ed H on December 27, 2022 at 1:15 am

GEEZE KING KONG!! you can load without an uplula loader?! If I get 2 rounds in I’m done.

  27. scott russell on December 27, 2022 at 1:16 am

i just bought one today,,, put about 100 rds through it and love it,,,,, love the trigger,,,, have the same pistol in 9mm too,,, both are my carry weapons,,,,, has the best trigger of any factory gun,,, got mine with night glow sights and no safety lever

  28. Joseph Shaff on December 27, 2022 at 1:16 am

    Sasquatch load 255 gr.!

  29. Stephen Ferris on December 27, 2022 at 1:19 am

    Reliability issues?

  30. guysandgirlscloset on December 27, 2022 at 1:23 am

I like the 9 but I prefer a 40 cal I recently fell back in love with the 45. And my EDC is a 357 mag.

  31. Kris N on December 27, 2022 at 1:25 am

Don’t buy the shield 45. Even the performance center one. 35 rounds and the recoil spring blows apart. Smith and wesson customer service sucks, when they get around to sending replacement, it will be for the 9/40 version, not the 45. The day i bought gun, it failed. After a Google search, I’m not the only one. Shouldn’t have to buy upgraded parts to make new gun function. Totally bullshit!!

  32. Tony Vet on December 27, 2022 at 1:26 am

Love the Shield 45. My EDC now

  33. Hey Old Time on December 27, 2022 at 1:28 am

I have carried my M&P .45 Shield for about 4 years. It shoots everything I put in it. I shoot every week at the club and it rocks

  34. Terry Bruce on December 27, 2022 at 1:29 am

I have this in 9… put an Apex trigger in and went with Hogue grips and night sights… great combo!

  35. Concierge place on December 27, 2022 at 1:30 am

Im a Glock guy, carried the Glock 19 for years. But for this 45 Sheild, i kept the Glock 19 as a house gun.Its hard to beat this single stack 45……very comfortable to carry.Been carrying the 45 Sheild for almost a year……..0 problems and flawless!

  36. Steve Kopcial on December 27, 2022 at 1:34 am

I see they have the 45 Shield Mod 2 out now, does anyone know if there were any enhancements made in the Mod2 from the Mod 1??

  37. Seth B on December 27, 2022 at 1:35 am

I never owned a Shield in .45 ACP. Why bother? Give me more rounds of 9mm. I’ll even take .40 S&W, I guess. I prefer a big heavy steel gun for .40 S&W and mostly for major scoring.

  38. Stephen Kidder on December 27, 2022 at 1:36 am

"Just one more" ROTFLMAO just like me! I love my Shield .45!

  39. Mic on December 27, 2022 at 1:37 am

Everyone I know who has one hates it and can’t hit anything… even with the apex.
My girlfriend had one that she got before I met her and she wont carry it, so I’m getting her a G43 for Christmas lol

  40. Joseph Shaff on December 27, 2022 at 1:39 am

I own that one. Hey Eric has anyone run Buffalo Bore +P, 255 gr. Hardened Flat or Equivalent dangerous Game load through it ? Seems kind of a big load for a little gun but Smith said it’s ok. Thanks Ray ! Thanks Chad !

  41. Bobby Browntown on December 27, 2022 at 1:39 am

There is no way to get 8 rounds in the m&p 45 sheild ether the 6 round one in the chamber or the 7 round will only go in with the slide locked to the rear so it’s new jersey compliant mabey

  42. gunner.357 on December 27, 2022 at 1:41 am

Does it use the 9mm trigger and sights?

  43. Bill Avery on December 27, 2022 at 1:45 am

I have one on order at my local sportsman shop Eric. No thumb safety, and a set of night sights. Should be in by next saturday.

  44. O NOES on December 27, 2022 at 1:47 am

Tried this and the PC version today and really liked it. I’m thinking about trading my LC9s for it.

  45. Bernhard Behling on December 27, 2022 at 1:48 am

My 45 Shield is a normal summer carry for me. In a DeSantis OWB leather holster, it hugs right up into my waist and covers easily with a light shirt. I did have a machinist swap out the stock sights for a set of XS Big Dot sights (stock sights had to be milled out) and I added a Hogue beavertail grip to make it fill my hand better. Everyone who shoots it loves it. My biggest problem with the gun is deciding which of my shooting buddies I want to leave it to in my will.

  46. Abel Perez on December 27, 2022 at 1:48 am

Whats is your preffered round for this gun?Mine is the 230 Federal Hst

  47. Andrew Shupe on December 27, 2022 at 1:48 am
