Traditions Kentucky Rifle Kit Review
Traditions Kentucky Rifle Kit Review
Cabela’s has the Traditions Kentucky Rifle kit on for $399 Canadian pesos once in a while and I get tempted every time. When it last came up for sale, I couldn’t resist because I’m a sucker for a good deal. The Traditions Kentucky Rifle kit is a “finish yourself” muzzleloader percussion rifle in .50 cal and made in Spain.

Lovely rifle. I own one for home defense. Just as the founding fathers intended.
I always wanted a replica "Last of the Mohicans" Kentucky Long Rifle… Good video man!
*Canadian in 2040 reviews only gun they can still own*
I also built mine,it shoots pretty good,i use balls and sabot!
After watching this, I think I’m going to have to pull my Brown Bess from the back of the safe and burn some powder. Nice job!
That crescent butt stock isnt intende to be used on the shoulder like modern rifles it crescent shaped so that in can be pressed into the arm near the pit
on the second shot when you are standing it almost looks like water coming out of the barrel, what was that?
Decent accuracy !!!
That was awesome shooting here Buddy !
Honestly, was expecting to watch a sh… show.
But now I m honestly impressed.
Used to get that kit for around $60 us dollars when I bought mine the stock was 1 piece.
put on a display shoot at dusk with 100 grains of FG powder really large fireball out the end FG burns too slow so lots of powder burn outside the barrel.
I wonder if they make any blunderbus kits…
Is there a website for replacement parts? I broke the trigger guard trying to bend it back into shape since it arrived bent. I couldn’t find anything on the Traditions website…
been thinking of getting my hands on one for a while bud, nice to see a Canadian channel talk about it
I read on a forum that the curve in the buttstock is supposed to go on your arm, just above your bicep, and not directly on your shoulder.
Why it’s designed that way I have no clue.
I’m currently in the middle of building the flintlock version of this rifle, and can’t wait to get it put together so I can take it out.
The butt plate goes further outboard on your shoulder, the hook goes in your armpit. Like a 22 target rifle.

Ive wanted one for sometime. I think Im going to order the flint lock one though. anyone have experience shooting a flintlock in some mild rain?
The butts were made that way to use as a weapon.
When you fired that one shot, that butt made a very good bludgeon weapon, then you resorted to your short sword or tomahawk.
There is a pre stain you should have used, helps with staining
Alkanet root in turpentine make a nice stain.
Too bad black powder so hard to come by ever since goex went out of business
The butt is curved to put to agaisnt your bicep, not shoulder in the perpendicular shooting stance or trapper style.
Looks like this will be one of the only legal firearms to own soon , lmao
Thank you for making this video
I have a bunch of #11 if you can’t find any.
Hi. This Kentucky rifle is made in Spain by Ardesa and marketed in UDA by Traditions. Good rifle for the price, for shooting and hunting. Greetings from Spain.
Is the assembly video out? I can’t seem to find it.
Forbidden Knowledge?
They make Flintlock kit too. I have a Hawken caplock from Safari Arms and love it. I am looking to get the deer hunter in flint from Traditions
Is the assembly video under the same channel?
The crescent butt does NOT go into your shoulder. It rests on your upper arm between bicep and shoulder. You want to raise your elbow up when aiming down the sights with a check rest.
It will be good to see some future deer hunting videos with that rifle.
The Traditions mini cannon was cool, but this is pretty cool too. I like the brassing, very elegant 😌
Great job fellas 💯👍🏻
Damn I missed the sale on it 🫡. Woulda definitely been happy to buy it for 399
I’ve bought one as a b day present to myself.
Can you make a video, that goes back to a rock being used as a weapon?
What caliber?
