Great addition to one of the best micro compacts on the market. Now how about for the M&P Shield plus 2.0 you add an accessory rail for a WML?
I bought one of these about a month ago but noticed right out of the box that the night sights were about 50% as bright as my three other pistols with tritium sights.
I didn’t have any way to test them for brightness before accepting the gun from my ffl.
I called Smith and sent the pistol in for sight replacement. Three weeks later, I got it back with supposedly new tritium sights, but they look exactly the same and are half as bright as my other night sights.
I own many quality Smith products but am highly disappointed with this purchase.
I own a gen 1 and 2.0 Shields, and bought this Plus specifically for the increased capacity and night sights, but it appears I’m going to have to spend another $100+ to have a decent set of third party sights instead of the low quality ones that came on this pistol.
Something must have changed at Smith. This isn’t the quality that I’ve come to expect from them.
Bought one yesterday. My front sight doesn’t glow. Only the rear. What’s going on?
Does anyone know if I purchased the non-optics ready version can I convert it over and how to?

Honestly it’s such a good gun I’ll not be sad I have one with plain ol co trust sights. At least they’re steel. Still will be pickup up a dot ready as this trigger with an optic I am truly looking forward to

The only thing that would make this better is the ability to purchase spare mags… Not until I see them readily available on the shelves or in stock online will I commit
What holster do you recommend if you have optics? The ones that I find online will fit the shield, but not with an optics on it. Any ideas will be great!
So, what kind of red dot mount does it come with?? Please say RMR. If I can stick my Holosun 507C with the ACSS Vulcan reticle from Primary Arms on it I would be in heaven.
From two spots in the video I see one has a safety but can’t seem to find anyone (online or brick-n-mortar) that has it. Can someone please confirm that an OR with safety is available? (and don’t bother with any criticisms on wanting a safety).

@S&W– I am a current *Walther PPS* carrier who has become disatisfied with how that company doesn’t seem to listen to their customers the way that you seem to. I own several S&W products, and would very much like to switch to a *Shield Plus* as my carry gun.
One thing has kept me from doing so, however– *the seriously rough grip texture.* My wife has an EZ, so I know with zero doubt that it just won’t work for me.
In the future, do you think you might be able to include a "less aggressive" backstrap, or maybe just develop a Shield-model with ergos in the ballpark of your SW9VE? I have held that pistol and really loved the ergos, but I need a "Shield-size" carry gun, not a service size pistol… for right now.
Btw, I’m not alone. All you have to do is perform a youtube search on "how to smooth out the grip texture on a Smith and Wesson."

I am a proud owner of the M&P Shield Plus. I have been looking in your website to order a couple of more magazines, but was unsuccessful finding the location of the mags. Is S&W selling extra mags?

Just ordered one a couple days ago! I can’t decide between the RMRcc or the RMSc…
Do I need any other hardware aside from the RMRcc or RMSc to mount it to the shield? I’ve never installed a non-picitinny/dovetail sight before.
Also, will I be able to co-witness with either of these two sights without any modifications?
Please include screws on the box….
Is the slide very difficult to rack? As in, more difficult than something like the Ruger Security-9?
