Recently picked up a new Smith & Wesson M & P 22 pistol. Took it out to the ranch to try it out and see how it performed with various ammo. The high summer heat and humidity really zapped my camera’s battery, so I didnt get to do much reviewing on camera as I would have liked. However, there are plenty of other reviews out there that can give you the specifics of the pistol. All in all, I like it. It is significantly larger than the Ruger SR-22 which it replaced. Fits good in the hand, both mine and those of my sons. The single action action is very smooth, trigger pull is nice. My only complaint is that the safety lever has a very flimsy , rubbery type feel to it… feels “cheap”. I wish the rear sights were not totally blacked out, but that is easily fixed. All and all, a great “plinker” and excellent “trainer”

Sorry, I sure dont. I would like to pick up a couple of extra magazines myself, but all things gun related are kind of scarce right now 🙁
Has not arrived here yet in Canada…But when it does I’m buying one! I am going broke buying ammunition for my M&P9($100 every time I go to Range) Good Vid!
i hear that. i bought 2 extra mags at 35 bucks each. as far as 22’s go, im still in good shape 8500 rounds+. i was buying the bulk stuff back when it was still around 10 bucks a box.
Out of curiosity… Have you had the chance to run Aguila or Centurion ammo?
I’m getting "light strikes" on about 85% of the rounds. Otherwise, it shoots any other LR manufacturer with zero problems.
Kinda sucks for me since I have over 10,000rds of Aguila and Centurion LR to burn through…lol

Sorry to hear about your ammo problems. No, I havent tried either of those brands.
I love it! I only have 2 issues with it. Trying to find ammo and extra mags lol

do u know where i can get parts for this gun? im looking to pick up a couple xtra recoil springs, nobody has parts including S&W and i have tried everywhere
lol… I’ll tell him. I liked the SR 22 but I have to admit, I think I like the M&P better. Just wish it came with more than one mag. The night before filming this video, we were riding around on the 4 wheeler and spotted a huge snake crossing the trail, didnt see any chupacabras though 🙂
Nice hand gun. Tell that boy of yours he’s a pretty good camera-man. My little S.R.22 is still chugging along.No issues with the take-down lever. I took the mag-disconnect out of one of my Ruger 22/45s today.What a difference ! The empty mags fall right out, and it makes take-down way less complicated.Watch out for rattlers, and the chubacabra.I heard they love melons.

This gun is NOT made by Smith and Wesson, it just has the Smith and Wesson name put on it. That’s why parts are hard to find. Can’t remember the exact name of the manufacturer that makes this gun.
