The M&P pistol is a great pistol out of the box but it lacks in a few departments and could use some help! This original, first iteration of the Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm pistol is old, tired and boring compared to the newest offerings.
To start out we upgraded to a Timney Alpha trigger and now it has one of the best triggers available on any striker fired handgun out there. But we didn’t stop there, this thing got a full overhaul.
We were supplied with items from Faxon Firearms and let us tell you, they are top notch. The slide is a Faxon Patriot with RMR cut. It has sight cuts for Glock pattern iron sights which is a nice touch with all the aftermarket support. We topped it with Ameriglo Night sights which lower 1/3 cowitness perfectly on the gun through the Holosun 507C.
The barrel and compensator is was really sets this pistol apart. We used a Faxon TiN flame fluted and threaded barrel and then mounted the Faxon ExOS compensator on the end. This thing shoots so flat, it’s like shooting a 22 caliber pistol.
The pistol did take a bit of a break in period and we opted to change out the recoil spring for a lighter 12lb one which helps in allowing a wider range of ammo functioning reliably. There will be a lot of use of Faxon parts in our future as we can’t help but support fellow Ohioans!

Young man have you ever shot the Walther PDP. I bought one when they first came out mine has a 4.5 " barrel. I’ve put well over a 1,000 rounds threw it a never had a hiccup. It’s accuracy is amazing I hit 3" plates at 50 yards thats the distance limit at the club.
That barrel really dresses it up. Thx for sharing
Hey guys that’s a great running pistol,I’ve been a fan of the Q5 but passed by it too many times and my LGS sold it and it’s discontinued , I guess thiers new stuff to check out ( Shadow Systems) yeah I like race guns. I’m still looking into Axial Extreme , the reviews have been up and down but I think I’ll go for it. I appreciate you guys review’s.

Wtf! That might be the flattest shooting polymer gun I’ve ever seen, I might have to throw one on my Shield and see what happens.
Indeed, the S&W M&P 2.0 can be improved to desired functionality. It is an outstanding quality handgun overall.
