The DE was never gonna be a serious carry gun, but it’s unfair no not mention that it had the only safety that didn’t freeze up. I blame this oversight on the fact that the whole crew died inside when the M&P fired.
LMAO – M&P 9C 2.0 is my EDC. Stock trigger, grip angle and texturing for me are better than G19/G17.

Turns out springs get really stiff when they get wet and freeze. Incredible science really. I actually did a real world test like this on my pistols. You’re in northern Wisconsin being chased by a bear (this actually happened to a family last week!) you drop your pistol in the snow, will it fire? He tested a CZ 75 here, I packed mine in the snow and left it there for a bit to freeze, while the area between the hammer and firing pin was packed full of snow the snow actually cushioned the hammer, but luckily hammer fired guns have second strike so a quick DA pull cleared the snow out and she was back in business. 👍

I had my pistol freeze once on a hunting trip… lucky for me that boar was just running and not actually tryin to hurt me
Since then i use silikon grease on all the non-metal parts and high viscosity oil on the metal ones and it never froze up again… even when dropped in water… silly me

Double dog dare you to do the same test on Hi Points. I love high end firearms. Have never and will never own a Hi Point. They digust me. But as other Utube channels have shown they are surprisingly tough. Try it if you will. It will only disgust me more if they actually work. But I think their basic design would prevent most of the failures you found in this test. Thank you for the interesting video.

This convinced me that Desert Eagles are more reliable than Glocks. It might have had a dead trigger, but half the gun was still working.
