When are you guys going to do a mud test of the French L.M.P. ’89?

  2. Jeremy Williamson on May 17, 2022 at 6:35 pm

Being left handed should be a capital offense

  3. wolle kemper on May 17, 2022 at 6:37 pm

Buys a gun as small as possible
Hunts aftermarket to get the gun an extra large magazine
Gun is now out of proportion and the grip sticks out like a sour thumb

You are the judge if this makes any sense

  4. 7Roeth on May 17, 2022 at 6:37 pm

I’m considering these pretty strongly since they fit the 7 and 8mag. Thanks for the instruction.

  5. tim smith on May 17, 2022 at 6:37 pm

Why not just start out with a bigger pistol

  6. StrangerOman on May 17, 2022 at 6:38 pm

I was expecting a spinner run. Nice one 😉

  7. Chad Jordan on May 17, 2022 at 6:38 pm

The shield is a great carry gun I carried one for years. But now I carry a Glock 48 with the shield arms 15 round mag. It’s hard to beat the 43x or 48 for size and capacity.

  8. Alex Glenn on May 17, 2022 at 6:41 pm

Your recoil control is on point fam

What is this and where is Karl?

  11. mtgAzim on May 17, 2022 at 6:43 pm

so I’ve seen a number of guys when demonstrating a full mag +1, they tend to do what Russel did, chamber one from the mag > eject the mag > top off > reinsert. I always would just hand load one in the chamber, drop the slide, and insert mag. is there some reason I shouldn’t be doing that? I mean it makes sense to me to do it my way, but I pretty much always see people do like Russel did. Just wondering if I’m missing something.

  12. matthew price on May 17, 2022 at 6:44 pm

Promag sells 9 round mags for the shield 2.0 in 40 s&w, an one lives in my gun. I carry it like that concealed too.

  13. Jonathan Grimaldi on May 17, 2022 at 6:44 pm

I mean, it’s not a bad product. It works as advertised. But I’m interested how the printing of weapon changes based on the longer grip. I normally carry a shield with the 8 round mag plus the one in the chamber (3 rnds for 3 bad guy philosophy.) I have often considered trading down the 7 rnd mag but I’m a tall guy so printing normally is not an issue.
But I feel like if I really wanted to get that extra capacity, I’d just get the M&P9C (which has been considered) so that the grip is not as long.
Like I said, product works, but is it practical?

  14. Matt C on May 17, 2022 at 6:45 pm

You need to look at the magguts +2 extension. Only adds .25 of an inch from the bottom. Mine has worked perfectly for about 1000 rounds.

  15. GrimHellscream on May 17, 2022 at 6:47 pm

Unrelated to these mag extensions; you’re cool and nobody is coming after you brother. Relax.

  16. Cold and Aloof on May 17, 2022 at 6:47 pm

Hmmm.. $20 for this or spend another 5 bucks on a whole new 8 rnd mag. I’ll get another mag, thanks but no thanks.

  17. logan holmberg on May 17, 2022 at 6:48 pm

Would not coloring the dots (front or back) in with a red or green sharpy be a better alternative to alter the color between the 2 and still have the benefits of the dots? I did that on my rifle and I think I am getting a faster sight alighnment because of it when I use the open sights.

  18. Erik Semelson on May 17, 2022 at 6:50 pm

Hey this comment is for Karl, as i understand he would like to make historical content about the eastern front as well so i thought it would be a great oprotunity for him when he goes to finnish brutality to come to Estonia for a bit (it only like a 2 hour ferry ride) and come visit the blue mountains battlefield where in 1944 alot of the forgin legions of the ss fought to defend europe from th russian, they never gave up there in the end they were just out flanked

  19. Herr Doktor Professor Love on May 17, 2022 at 6:52 pm

Your use of S&B ammo validates me. I love that stuff. Highest quality at lowest price.

  20. Cameron Farslow on May 17, 2022 at 6:52 pm

Somebody needs to make a propper 1 1/2 Stack mag for the shield.

  21. sgthl on May 17, 2022 at 6:53 pm

Now with the Shield Arms S15 15-round flush fit mags for the Glock 43X all kinds of "extensions" and guns with less capacity feel completely outdated.

  22. Hawk 1966 on May 17, 2022 at 6:53 pm

The 12 round mag for my Sig Sauer P365 came disassembled so you could configure it for the XL or standard P365. I only shot the spring across the room once! Make sure you look at the follower before removing it so you can reassemble things properly and not have to grumble and take it apart to do it right. 😁
Edit: it’s nice to see another lefty around.

  23. MrThomass281 on May 17, 2022 at 6:55 pm

The 8 rounder with extension reminds me of 10 round magazines for the Sig p239.

  24. KamikazKid on May 17, 2022 at 6:55 pm

I love how this magazine is designed, it’s simple, reliable, and easy to swap out if anything breaks.

  25. [Redacted] on May 17, 2022 at 6:57 pm

It helps if you at least kind of pretend to not be reading off a piece of paper.

Unrelated, but the MP had one of the worst triggers of any gun I ever bought. I couldn’t get rid of that thing quick enough.

  26. MrShtbrick on May 17, 2022 at 6:58 pm

I bought one of those for my M&P9c, to bring it to 17rd capacity. Its okay, there is some side to side movement in relation to the sides of the mag in the mag well.

100 years later and we’re all under flu quarantine and carrying pocket pistols all over again!

  28. Free2ChaseHappy on May 17, 2022 at 7:02 pm

Check out Magguts for S&W Shield. It’s an upgraded follower and spring kit, +1 round without any changes to the outer of the magazine.

  29. Phat Outdoors on May 17, 2022 at 7:03 pm

Thanks for sharing this!!! Just purchased my Shield today. In Ca so out of money and watching vids for 11 days. I’m definitely getting two of these!!!

  30. Alexander Stordeur on May 17, 2022 at 7:04 pm

More reliable than the ProMag 10 round extended mag. Maybe I should upgrade my factory 8 round mags with this. SOLD! SHUT UP, AND TAKE MY MONEY!

  31. heroman117 on May 17, 2022 at 7:04 pm

I would also agree with the other comment by Ken, I would be very interested in you doing a review of the Magguts +2 Magazine extension for the M&P Shield. I installed the kit in my Shield back in 2017 and after a couple loading/unloading cycles to break-in the proprietary springs, it has been 100% reliable for me after hundreds of 9mm rounds over the years.

I think they are a much more compelling choice primarily because they barely add any length at all to the overall length of the magazine relatively speaking. In my opinion they actually cause the M&P Shield grip to hit a very ideal "sweet spot" where I can *barely* get a solid 3 finger grip below the trigger guard. (Obviously this can vary depending on hand size, I usually consider my hands to be of medium size)

Because of the added support of having 3 fingers on the grip the Shield became a much more comfortable gun to shoot and I actually prefer it over the stock setup because it allows me to control recoil better between shots.

  32. TheRealColBosch on May 17, 2022 at 7:05 pm

I forwarded this to my accountant, who carries one of these tiny M&Ps.

  33. Sandy on May 17, 2022 at 7:06 pm

Taking care not to launch the spring across the room, yeah… about that lol. I have a way with springs & jesus clips and it always seems to take me forever to find the silly bastards too.

I was going to make some jack ass comment , But my brain took over. Thanks for the content guys! Nice review! Can’t wait for the next Made In America review!

  36. Randy Magnum on May 17, 2022 at 7:09 pm

How are these not branded as xtacles?

  37. Josh Parker on May 17, 2022 at 7:10 pm

For the rear while dots, holding a flame to them will cover them with soot.

  38. Benign or Design on May 17, 2022 at 7:11 pm

I really appreciate Russell as an integral part of the InRangeTV crew. He’s got the long-term match shooting knowledge and a degree in internet memery we all need.

  39. Chris Stillwell on May 17, 2022 at 7:12 pm

    Good work Russell!

  40. Christopher Reeves on May 17, 2022 at 7:14 pm

Awesome review and installation tutorial. I just picked up two of these that i plan on using on my 8 round magazines that will give me 10 in the mag.

  41. Dave G on May 17, 2022 at 7:17 pm

    That’s hilarious. Way to large.

  42. I don't want to put my name on May 17, 2022 at 7:19 pm

Hey Russel, instead of darkening or getting rid of the rear sights, could you just change the color of one of them? Or does that cause other problems?

  43. Heinz Wolfgang Schnaufer on May 17, 2022 at 7:21 pm

I actually bought one of their +5 Kits for my M&P 9mm Full size, the floorplate of the magazine required a lot of fitting plus the spring pressure is so high I can only fit +4 instead of 5. Runs flawlessly though.

  44. zdlrbloodstar on May 17, 2022 at 7:21 pm

I enjoy seeing Russell on the channel hope to see more of him in the future

  45. NekoWinters on May 17, 2022 at 7:23 pm

I preferr hyve for the +2 rounds and with the metal one piece butt extension, even carry it on duty

  46. Super Awesome Cool Dude on May 17, 2022 at 7:24 pm

Neat! I carry a Shield and might get some of these with my GovtFunBux.

Honestly, the Hyve mag extensions for the Shield are better, if for no other reason than the fact that they get rid of the movable spacer for the 8rd mag

I’ve pinched myself with that spacer on numerous occasions during mag change practice, especially when working it in and out of a IWB mag holder.
