Hyve M&P magazine release mini review/fix

I ran into this problem where the hyve magazine release wouldn’t release the magazine without pressing fairly harder than you should. It would snag on the inside of the frame due to that small metal piece. To fix this, just Dremel that small piece down so it’s almost flush. I’m sure you can sand it down too if you’re patient enough.

    I had the same problem. It wouldn’t release unless I put pressure on the magazine itself before releasing . I removed the Hyve extended mag release and placed the OEM back in for now but will try out your idea. I just want to make sure the calculations on both magazine releases are the same.

    I never had the problem with releasing the magazine but reinserting the magazine it will catch, not allowing a reload. It doesn’t do it every time but I never had that issue with OEM. Only reason I went with the Hyve was due to some rust on the OEM release.
