I love the model before this one the most. Quad picatinny rail and solid chromed barrel. I can train all day and i never run out of .22lr. I received it as a Christmas gift at 12 from my dad and its been amazing. Gonna get the m&p 15 in 5.56 soon now

I dropped a VOLQUARTSEN EXTRACTOR into my 15-22. It runs like a top. The Volquartsen Extractor has a much sharper ejector edge than the stock S&W 15-22 does! It was around $15 and well worth it. This is the only upgrade I’ve done, except for a red dot.

I just bought one yesterday, shot a few hundred rounds and sold it already. Bores the shit out of me when I feel like I was shooting guns and went to shooting a BB gun. To each their own.

Too bad the accuracy wasn’t reviewed. With the spacer at the end of the stock, is it considered a free floating barrel?
A lightweight, biodegradable range target, shooter (prairie dogs) would be the best. 🤠
I love this gun, when shot it’s still very obvious to the ear the action of internals. Love it!!
Have the pistol version, GF has the blue dipped rifle. They are awesome! We love them, I’m going to get the basic black rifle and mod it up some. Great little shooters, and yeah if one needed to, it would keep bad guys away. I sure as shit wouldn’t volunteer getting a .22 hit.
I have a question I’ve a M&P AR-15/22 how do you change out the barrel?
I would love this rifle as a home defense weapon. as much as people say you cant defend with a 22 you most definitely can. Its a light weight weapon which makes it easy to maneuver in tight spaces, 22 is a small caliber that wont blow holes in your walls if you are shooting at someone and you dont have to worry about hitting someone in another room as much, such as one of your kids. It is a quieter round so you wont go deaf when shooting in your home and there is no recoil so you can put 5-7 rounds down range accurately out to 50 yards in a split second. Unless someone breaks in wearing kevlar 3-5 rounds will kill and stop an intruder and 1 well placed shot can as well.
I love my 15-22 runs great as long as i use CCI. If i ever shoot Winchester it jams occasionally.
Overall im very happy with mine and its my first smith and wesson

Hello im a big fan! I was hoping you can help me decide on buying the volquartsen light weight barrel for my M&p 1522. I have two questions, how much accurate is the volquartsen barrel than the stock barrel and can you shoot high Velocity ammo like CCI stingers and CCI Velocitors? Any info is much appreciated thank you !
I appreciate a lightweight gun that you can plink and run and gun with, but I am just old enough to where I do not run. 🙂 I prefer a little bit of weight to any gun I own to hopefully absorb some of the recoil. 🙂

I think the 15-22 Sport came with that fancy Mlok foregrip. So does that mean the original non sport/non pistol 15-22 has the quad rail?

I think the threads are also shorter on this barrel so it should fit the suppressor without any adapters. It also comes with a new firing pin and extractor.

Can you compare the 15-22 and the hk 416-22 ? I am stuck between the two. Just looking for a around the land kinda truck gun, must be absolutely reliable….well….as much as a .22 can be

amazing they still haven’t fixed the ejector issue. i just picked up the 15-22 pistol and it stove piped cci every couple rounds. get the volquartsen ejector and enjoy the most reliable 22 there is.
