   I just ordered both from grabagun. Haven’t been able to shoot the 380 yet due to ammo shortage but I do have 500 rounds coming in next week. The 9mm shoots really good. It does have a little more recoil, probably because of the spring, but nothing overly dramatic

   Wife and I each have a M&P Shield 380 EZ and we carry them when we are out of the house together. When I’m by myself I carry a Sig 365 XL or my M&P 9c

    I own the 9mm and Mrs. Green Eyes has the 380. She can easily rack the 380, struggles a little bit with the 9mm and almost needs a third arm to rack my Sig P365. If not for this EZ platform, I don’t think she’d be able to carry at all. She finds the weight of the 380 (it has a much thinner barrel) a lot easier to hold out straight and control. Overall, a major design win for S&W/M&P. However, I carry the P365 due to its size advantage and 12+1 capacity advantage.

    How about an EZ in 40?? I’d buy that also lol. I have no issues with “regular” slides, but dang why have one harder to rack than it has to be. It does ‘feel’ better on 55 y.o. arthritic/abused hands.

    If anyone wants a security holster (w/o a light / laser? You can buy a Blackhawk Serpa CQC holster, for the Glock 17/19. (As they are almost the same size guns.) You then glue inside, a small, thin strip of leather, that shims up the gun for a secure fit. I dremeled a minor bit of plastic off, around the mag release button.     I love my EZ Shield 9mm! I got the EZ 9mm since I already had a Glock 43X and didn’t want to buy two types of ammo. Since I got the EZ I don’t even carry and hardly shoot the Glock anymore. It’s easy to rack, load and disassemble. I cleaned it for the first time last night and it was easy. EZ is considered a beginner gun, but I’m experienced and recommend it for anyone. If you can find one, you won’t regret getting it. I got the one without the manual thumb safety because it has a grip safety. The feel in my hand, right down to the grip safety, is the closest I’ve seen to the Colt 1911, which is the best pistol I’ve ever fired.

    Thank you for this comparison!
    Does the recoil differ much between the 9mm & 380? I know recoil on 380’s tend to be less, but to what extent?
    If someone could handle the recoil of the 380 with minimal impact on their first try, do you think they’d be able to manage the 9mm recoil?

    Also, are there any other brands/styles out there that are comparable to or better than these two S&W options regarding quality build, ease of use, recoil?

    I’ve heard many mention the Sig P320 and Sig P238, and another Sig that I don’t remember the style number.
    What do you think, any advice would be helpful!

    I loved my plain 380ez with thumb safety enough to order the pimped out gold performance center one and then the 9mm, awesome carry or range guns

    How was the perceived/felt recoil between the two. I would expect more from the 9 but its also heavier, so..? 380 still is still softer to shoot?
