    Can it be loaded in the kit if you have a red dot on your Glock ? Now I know you can put a red dot on the kit. I just don’t want to have to remove my dot everytime. Thank you

    The MCK Conversion Kit seemed like an amazing concept, so I bought one for my Glock 45. Almost everything was great–with one exception: since my G45 had OEM night sights, they don’t fit properly in the standard charging handle (the sights are too tall). To accommodate them, CAA includes in the Glock kit an alternate, open top, charging handle (and I’m guessing there’s something like that in all of their kits). But there’s a problem: the alternate charging handle is made of a cheap, flexible plastic, not ridged polymer like the rest of the kit or the primary charging handle. Why am I mentioning this you ask? Because after a few months of merely sitting on a shelf (I haven’t taken it to the range yet, so not a single round has been fired with it), when I went to change the ammo loaded in the G45, and pulled the charging handle back to empty the chamber, the alternate (open top) charging handle slipped off the slide and caused a jam. And when I remounted it, it did the same thing. And it did it the 3rd time I remounted it. So I gave up and contacted CAA, and after jumping through hoops, sending photos, etc. including having to explain to the CAA person who claimed that the larger OEM Glock back strap I had installed was NOT the cause of the problem–because the back strap wasn’t within 1/2" of any part of the kit whatsoever (IMHO it was one of the dumbest possible things I’ve heard lately), I was sent another of the cheap flexible non-rigid charging handles that had just failed me because it was shoddily made. Hurray. It works again. I’m guessing it should fail in about the same amount of time as the last one, because it is still being made out of the wrong type of plastic. So if you’re using the open top style charging handle, and it’s made out of softer plastic than everything else, be prepared for the fun of having to deal with CAA customer support when it too stretches with time and slides off.

    Just picked one up yesterday with the upgrades including a decent red/green dot sight. Fits my glock 26 gen 5 and glock 27 gen 3. Been wanting an ar pistol for truck gun but seen this and it was a no brainer for me. Just need to get sighted in and boom. Great video!
